Campus location of sher e kashmir university of agricultural science and technology in shalimar is very beautyful , gives a energytic night.
Provided bus facilities in skaust campus or for visting any programm organised by j&k goverment .
The professor and staff of this university is very good and understanding.

Course Curriculum Overview

The admission process is through icar and university entrance test and on the basic of cutoff, The university rank is top 10 in nirf ranking and 4 th in state ranking all over the india so cutoff is very high

The placement proces of skuast k campus is might be low in all over the india comparision to other university but more chance and oppoturtine to get placement in kasmir region , With high paying salary and respected jobs in agriculture and allied sector

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution is around 36000 INR yearly plus you have to pay 8000 INR and if you are looking for the accomidation will cost you around 10000 INR and about scholarship if you are getting addmision through ICAR UG Examination then you will getting 3000 INR per month.

Campus Life

Overall campus life is very good i think its campus is very wonderfull in comparision to other agriculture university of india . The classroom are smartclass room with hightec class and teachers . Sports circulam are good and always student go for national particiption of games

Hostel Facilities

There are different different hostel for student like ug hostel pg hostel phd hostes local hostels . There are two mess veg mess and non veg mess both are avilable ,student can prefer mess accourding to choice and taste Hostel fees os 14k per year and mess bill is 3k per month

Admission

This college is auto alloted by indian council of agriculture reserch on my maks that i obtain in cuet exam , the admission process done by icar in this iniversity cutoff going might be low and the ranking is in top 10 somi prefer to take admission

Faculty

All faculty members are phd professor that have a good skills of teaching as well as in soft skill with lab knowldge , the examination is conducted in online mode on tab means in paperless mode and objectives were checked by automatic software , and the long aquestion answer are ched by teachers , flow the modern making scheme , the pass and fail ratio is 2 out of 10 were fail

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

I didn't applied for any other college my first and last choice was this college and i got it. For admission in this college : If you are residing in J&K you have to give UET Ug exam which is conducted by SKUAST-K and after that you will get admission on merit base. If you are not residing in J&K then you can come through ICAR counselling after clearing CUET Ug exam. Cut off is high so prepare well....Read More

I only applied to this college due to its good NIRF ranking and also heard of the better environment here. I gave NEET exam but not able to crack that. To enter here you have to give SKUAST- K UET exam if you are from J&K and if you are from other states then you can take admission via ICAR councelling based on CUET exam. Most students came through SKUAST K UET and remaining through ICAR councelling.
