Agriculture subject is practical oriented and you will enjoy visiting agriculture fields and that was the sole reason i choose this field. The curriculum is well designed and you will not feel any problem while helping farmers in real world.. Improvement needed in practical work i.e more practical work should be done.

The practical nature of this course dragged me to choose this course. The course is well designed to solve the every day's problem. The practical portion should be enhanced more to inculcate practical knowledge. In a year 4 exams are conducted at an interval of 3 months.

Agriculture is practical oriented course that's why i chose it and it takes me to my roots as my father is also farmer. Practical knowledge of this course prepares me for real world. Course curriculum must be practical along with book knowledge and teaching should be interactive. In 6 month semester we give two times exam and exams are easy.

Students in the last semester are eligible for campus placement Recently reliance bio energy Pvt LTD,lic ,hdfc bank and many other companies did placement drive in the campus Highest average packing was 10 lakh per annum by reliance

Campus placements are happening very rarely Recently reliance bio energy Pvt Ltd, LIC,hdfc bank did placements drives in the university About 20 percent students get placed every year My plans after completing the degree is to persuive msc from the same university

Placements are said to be very nice in the campus after you complete your degree also there is 6 month internship plan in end of two years and for instance, if there is no placement provided by campus, my course is need of our country so i can get job easily

The course is just awesome so much fun while doing stuff related to course, practical work just awesome also studying peacefully literally helpful a lot, also the library of our faculty is just awesome provides each and every book

The course curriculum is set by the ICAR and it is one of the finest and most appropriate for students to outperform in this field if only they work sincerely. Each and every course is well designed to polish the forestry skills to shine in students. But the faculty doesn't teach you the manner ICAR has designed the course. Very least or almost no practical is being taken here. Exams are taken after 2 months as mid term and after 5 months as end term . Exam duration is of 1 hour for mid term and 2 hours for end term.

As a horticulture student,the faculty members provide one to one practical interaction,that catches students interest in the subject The exams are of moderate level The teachers are using digital projectors for class They use Power point presentation to deliver lectures

I was always eager to study about plants and nature and when I studied about the SKUAST jammu i immediately appeared for the CET exam and scored the qualifying number for admission and chose the degree program of bsc hons horticulture and took the next step in my life to connect with plant world. This degree provides knowledge about agriculture, horticulture, floriculture, agrometrology and many more environmental and food related industries . This degree generates employment in various food sector like food processing industries , fruit cultivation , flower cultivation. And in my last year i have took the beekeeping as optional subjects which teaches about bee rearing and honey production. The difficulty level is moderate which a student if studies regularly can pass. The university should improve is education policy by including more practical work rather than theoretical work .
