How can I get admitted to the college? What is the admission procedure?

The admission into Under Graduate and Post Graduate is done through the SKUAST-Jammu entrance test, ICAR entrance test and on the basis of the nomination of in-service candidates through state government. Admission into the B.Sc. course is done on the basis of 10+2 grade marks. For admission into the Ph.D. program, students should possess a Bachelors degree in the respective subject. The respective GPA (grade point average) is also taken into consideration while granting admission. For basic agricultural training courses, the only academic requirement is 10+2 with science while for certificate courses the student should have passed matric grade.

Students are eligible for campus placement at 8th semester The private company like CP, shenglong, processing company and lot of hatcheries offeres a placement calls The highest package is depend upon the experience of the person may be around 2lakhs and low package is around 20000 The maximum percentage of person should be around 8 for 10 would possible for selection for placement My plans after completing the degree either pursuing a Phd in foreign or doing research work in any institution

Best university of India in mountain agriculture and has a soothing environment to study.

Placement cells are improving day by day but not much active till now. Very few companies visit our campus which is why maximum students opt for higher studies. After that, they can apply for the assistant professor post which is very prestigious. Very very much less scope in government jobs. Salaries are good appx. 4 LPA but opportunities are lesser. Recently companies from Thailand and new Zealand visited our campus and offered various jobs to students which is a positive side.

Faculty of Agriculture Skuast, a short glimpse

The campus is given to students for MSC courses in skaust. The biggest problem here is that no companies or else visit here and we totally rely upon the govt jobs. About 60% of students get it to Govt offerer jobs and others get it to other fields. I think I will go for PhD and will do research in the future.

In agriculture courses students got chance in their favorite fields like public sectors (AAO, AO in Dept. Of Agriculture Govt of Karnataka ) and private companies which offered better opportunities for students improve their lufecin private sector about 80% students got selected companies ITC, Monsanto, Syngenta, dove agro crop science, coromandel, Zuari Industries, Private banks like hdfc, axis, any private coffee boards, pesticide companies and irrigation companies like Jain, metafilm. Agricultural related NGOs packages offered 2.5 lakh to 4lakh per annum based on the type of jobs n field the company related.

Real review of faculty of forestry SKUAST-K

Internships Opportunities:

There is no internship and no placements occuring here. They just recieve hefty amount of money into their pockets in name of research work and projects but they don't consider practical work or research work of anykind for the UGs. Practical approach in this faculty is near to zero which needs to be improved and to be started as soon as possible.

Aftet 4 years of degree an internship duty is to be completed within 1.5 year and fir that students are getting 6000 per month and during internship all the students are well trained and educated and after internship a good placement will be waiting for the job opportunity.
