Agriculture is practical oriented course that's why i chose it and it takes me to my roots as my father is also farmer. Practical knowledge of this course prepares me for real world. Course curriculum must be practical along with book knowledge and teaching should be interactive. In 6 month semester we give two times exam and exams are easy.

Here RAWE program is conducted which is managed by college and student gets 21000 of 6 months and after that EL programme is conducted in which the students get the 50% profit after selling the produce which he sown during EL. Both RAWE and EL make students aware about real world applications of agriculture studies.

Yearly fees for government seat is 55600/ year. In which :- First year registration fee 9000 Admission fee :- 10000 Tution fee:- 35600 Hostel fee: 20000 Yearly fees for Self finance seat is 115600. Hostel fee is 20000

IRTIQA festival for newly joined students and celebrated in December, KISAN mela celebrated in March. Various other cultural programmes are held from time to time Class rooms equipped with smart features. Every year VC sports week is done where various sports are played such as Cricket, Football, Kabbadi, Volleyball, Race, Table tennis , Carrom board , Chess etc There are various clubs such as Sports club, NSS club, Biodiversity club which creates various activities for students.

1 room with 3 students and each student gets his own bed, chair, study table. Meal quality is good and both veg as well as non veg is served. Registration for hostel is at the time of admission and student can select the room of his choice.

I only applied to this college due to its good NIRF ranking and also heard of the better environment here. I gave NEET exam but not able to crack that. To enter here you have to give SKUAST- K UET exam if you are from J&K and if you are from other states then you can take admission via ICAR councelling based on CUET exam. Most students came through SKUAST K UET and remaining through ICAR councelling. SKUAST K UET cut off vary from category to Category out of 135 UR- 80-90 ST - 60- 70 SC 50-60 OBC - 60-70 ALC - 65-75 Admission process is easy and smooth and also done offline at SKUAST K Shalimar campus

The faculties of this college are very good and they are very polite and eager to help you. I like Dr. Angrej Ali. There are two exams namely Mid term and End term and about 6 subjects in these exams. About 10 - 15 students fail to clear the minimum 1 subject every semester Course is easy.

Gym facilities are available, cafeteria is available inside college, library is here . Gym is 24/7 open Cafeteria is open from 8:00 am to 10:00Pm Library is open from 9:00 am to 6:00Pm Hostel in timing is6:00 Am to 9:00 Pm and same for campus College administration lawn, 9 deodar placeetc inside College, outside college there are lot of places for picnic. Locality is not very safe for nightout as various wild animals sighted such as leapord, bear etc
