Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

Studying in final year, i can proudly say that the course curriculum is not relevant to the work in a comapny whether its electronics or Mechanical. Course curriculum is not good even its too lengthy and without any means students are pressurise to complete it. Teaching method is too bad of some of the professors. I learned time waste from my professors. Some of the teacher are very bad at teaching. They should provide some papers, ppt and some parts of it but they don't speak in class they even don't provide ppts, they write on the blackboard and the whole class copy from that. it is not a good way to teach i think. for final year student they do the same.

Placement Experience

2.5

To be very Honest, Our college has only the name certification that it is a National Institute of Technology. The placement stats are not as other "National Institute". Very less number of companies visit colleges for campus placements. and after the recession.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Year wise fees is different as the hostel fees is not fixed in year. In first semester the hostel fees was INR10k and the institution fees was INR 13,800. All students are mendatory to give the hostel caution money i.e INR 5000, along with this there is the tuition fees, amount of INR 62,500. The fee Waiver students for whom full remission of the tuition fees is there, the students who are economically backward, whose family income is less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum. so for me it was remissed. and for SC/ST and PwD students, there is the benefit of 100% Tuition fee waiver whereas the other economically backward students whose family income is between Rs. 1 Lakh and Rs. 5 lakh per annum they are allowed to pay 2/3rd of the fees. when you change hostel, the caution money of Rs. 5000 is transferred to another hostel. for new hostel you just have to pay only the mess fees which was Rs. 15K in second year hostel. It was increased to 19K in third year.

Campus Life

2.5

Overall experience about the college is more or less not good. The clubs are very interesting here, multiple clubs focus on multiple field which help students to learn thing very easily and to make projects on that. infrastructures provided is good but when we talk about other NITs even lower in NIRF ranking they are very having very good infrastructure as well as sports facility.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Three students are allowed in a room and the hostels are also good in these years. But in final and prefinal year three students are allowed in a room and that room is not for three students. along with room some hostel like Hall-2, Hall-1, Hall-3 are required to rebuild again or renovate. but i think ther renovation can't impact much because the hostel are of time of 1980. which is not good to live in. During tehe physical reporting, The hostel also got alotted. registration form is to be fillefd by the students physically and they are allowed to choose room whichever they want.

Admission

I chose the college because of my rank and i didn't do so research on it. I think, reviews on internet, are not so real according to recent situations. the reviews says that the professors are very good and supportive which i didn't find here yet. Admission process of the college is similiar as other NITs have. Admission letter recieved from JoSAA and CSAB along with all documents physical reporting is happened.

Faculty

2.5

To be honest, The Faculty member of the branches like CSE, ECE, EE, CHE are very supportive to the students. They provide notes and they are very casual to the class. They even cancel some classes if students requests for that. They give some hints and selected topics to the students for the semester examination. Even they give marks very easily, they don't expect much perfection in answers. On the other hand for some branches like Civil, MME, ME, BT, faculty members are very strict and even they pressurise the syudents too much. generally they don't support the students in their academics like they don't provide note, they don't give some hints and selected topics to the students before the semester exam. They expect perfect answer from the students even though they don't make students understand themselves. along with theory classes, They don't provide lab manual to the student. Students search on the internet before they start writing the manual. They don't give marks in lab also.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements starting from the 7th semester. For placement drives, we have to visit the main campus, Techno Main Salt Lake (TMSL). Since students from other Techno India campuses and branches also participate, the competition is extremely high. In the 2025–2026 academic year, fewer companies visited. Only two companies, Dronahost and WishCare, visited our specific campus directly. The remaining drives—mostly service-based companies like TCS and EY, along with a few startups—were conducted at the main campus. The remaining drives mostly service based companies like TCS, EY etc and quite a few startups has visited to main campus. The package they offered mostly in between 3.5lpa - 6 lpa. Furthermore the selection process of those startups is quite rigorous often consisting of upto 5 rounds of interview, two technical rounds with two technical interviews, and HR round My plans after getting the degree is either pursue an MBA or preparing for govt jobs

In case of my couse everything is coverd but it would have been much better of they focus on practicals more rather than theory. If they make us aware of all the new technologies that are used in the industry.

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements. However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement. If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities
