Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum followed is as per the ktu ( kerala technology University). Since now its autonomous there's changes in the curriculum. For my batch, there was 2 series exams in a semester. The teaching methods are fine

There's various internship opportunities. In our course we have to choose ourselves. So it purely depends upon our own skills and abilities. About other courses too I think its almost the same. Faculty do support

I enrolled into the college under general category. Other sections have various fee benefits and scholarships. The year wise fee is mostly around 5k undrr government. Now its autonomous so i dont have much details about the fee structure

Campus Life

Hestia is one of the major part of our college. Its the college fest which has been successfully conducted over the past years with lot of technical and cultural events The college provide an entire building as library, with large seating spaces and workspace

Hostel Facilities

Different years, Different hostels. Rooms are okay. Food needs to be better Registration and all is done at first during the admission time itself. It is affordable and its just some walk away from the college

Should have good 12th mark and also a very good Nata score to get into the general category Other categories have different cut offs The entire admission process is through KEAM portal and allotment process. Plus there's also management seats

They are always ready to help. There are lot of teachers but I feel the subject specific teachers are less. A single teacher handles more than 1 subject and sometimes the situation becomes like a teacher should teach a subject which he or she is new to

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

NITC Glimpses

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels
