Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

There are courses integrated with professional courses in the Department of professional studies. My course was integrated with CA (chartered accountancy) course. It helped me a lot in my CA journey. I completed two levels of CA along with my UG. Not every college provides this and this is why I chose Christ. There are a lot of workshops and seminars conducted every day across various departments keepng students updated and skilled. The exams are conducted twice in a semester. They are fully descriptive written papers.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are internshiip cells in every department for any internship related enquiries and they keep students updated about such opputunities. There had been lot of such offers. I have not gone for any internship though.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students in the final year can apply for placements. Many companies hold placement drives on the campus like Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, ICICI, KPMG, EY, DE Shaw and many more. The average package is around 6 lakhs per annum. Usually, some 20% of the students get placed. Others choose to go for master's or other courses.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are different for students from the same state(Karnataka), from other states and those who are NRIs. I fall under the NRI category and my fees was 1,40,000 a year. It is to be paid in lumpsum at the beginning of every year. There are no other fees/ donations to be given other than the course fees. There are various scholarships you can apply for in the college.

Campus Life

5

There are a lot of fests and programs. There are university-level events like sports meet- pedagogic, Talents Fest- in blooms, ethnic day and more. There are also a lot of departmental programmes. All classes have speaker systems and projectors. There are football grounds, basketball courts, volleyball, throwball, kho-kho and more. The library is huge and has a large collection of books. Every student also gets access to many online libraries. There are a lot of social groups focussing on environment, social work and other clubs. There are many dance groups, Street play groups, music bands etc. There is something for everybody.

Admission

The admission application process starts very early around January and the admission process will be duriing April. You should You have to be 12th / Pre- university cleared. You will have to first apply through the website and pay an application fee. There will be a written entrance exam first. After clearing this, you will have to go through an interview and a mini 1-minute presentation on any topic the interviewer gives. If you get selected, your fees (for the year) will be asked to be paid within a week.

Faculty

4

There are enough faculty for the huge number of students in the campus. They are well-qualified, many of them being phd holders. Faculties are approachable for any help. You will have mentors assigned whom you meet once every week.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.
