Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The curriculum is well researched and reviewed every year. It is relevant in contemporary circumstances as well as in higher studies or competitive exams. The exam cycle is fine and difficulty level varies between moderate to difficult. However, previous year questions are a real help.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internships are an opportunity for everyone from 1st year to final year. There is an Annual internship fair as well as opportunities throughout the year. The roles are multidisciplinary, online as well as offline. The basic requirement is to get your CV approved and then pass an exam and interview

Placement Experience

4

From 5th semester, students become eligible to sit for placement. The placements are really amazing as top performing companies (Big4), startups, government companies hire students from the campus. The tier 3 package can range upto 25 lakhs per month which was the highest during our academic year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Financial aids are available on basis of merit, income etc. For meritorious students, awards and scholarships are provided. Campus employment is provided through a dedicated placement and internship cell. The stipend varies according to tiers of the company and many job opportunities are provided.

Campus Life

5

The whole year is bustling with events conducted by various societies. Our college's annual event also happens wherein concerts are organised. The Diwali Mela is really special as NSS team trains volunteers and students to participate and funds are utilised for social activities. The library is filled with various genres of books. On campus sports facilities range from shooting to badminton and indoors like table tennis. Societies being run by students really give them a first hand experience of working on a large scale.

Admission

The application process has become really smooth over the times due to everything being conducted online. The registration as well as approval of admission is done on a single portal with help available throughout the whole course. The Delhi University social media handles provide all the required information. Additionally, there are many pages like Du Beat, Du Updates which cover all current events. The exams are always conducted smoothly, even during COVID, Open book tests were done with proper measures The improvement areas can be related to shortening of the timeline by releasing results quickly and ensuring proper feedback mechanism.

Faculty

5

Even though the faculty to student ratio is 90:1, it seems normal as interaction is really seen between students and teachers. The faculty is approachable and one get their doubts resolved through extra classes. Mentorship is also available and teachers help you out in many areas beyond academics. Interaction is there during normal classes as well as in extra curricular activities or educational outings. Needless to say, the faculty is highly qualified and do their best to make students learn through traditional and digital methods.

The curriculum is very broad and relevant, it covers both theory and practical aspects of the subject. It is very nice to prepare for further higher studies, though more real-world cast studies and interactive teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.
