Likes

The Campus is good and everyone is very friendly. All the students were supportive and cooperative with each other.
Lastly, it has a suitable environment for studies.
The teachers were also very friendly and could easily approach them if there was any sort of doubt or anything regarding any topic.

Dislikes

The campus is a bit small. I wish it was a bit bigger. And if it was in a separate campus from the school

Course Curriculum Overview

As for extracurricular activities, it offers extravagant opportunities and has societies and cells be it drama, management, entrepreneurship, dance etc It conducts debate competitions, dance, other more educational events too

Class Size: 41Course Fees: INR 84000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fee is 30,000/- along with security deposit 5000/- which is refundable. I persued B.A in political science and my total was 58,000/- per semester. There are other scholarships like you have to score minimum of 90% in your class x and xii result you can apply for the scholarship.

Campus Life

The library is quite spacious and most of the books are available and the decorum is also maintained. There's a separate cyber room. There's Joris corner too where you can xerox, print etc and stationeries are also available but only if it was near the library. The college conducts a fest called Xavotsav for 3 days held in February. There are many clubs to join like NSS, NCC etc helps in gaining a lot of experience and it's fun.

Admission

You can find the application form and about the fee structure on their website www.sxccal.edu. There's no entrance test for B.A. it's merit based (class 12th result). The cut off is 90-94%. The admission process was quite smooth. The faculty stuffs were also good and responsive.

The teaching faculty is good. They teach quite easily and understandably. They interact a lot with students in the class as per my experience. And they are approachable too. Also they respond to all of your enquiries other than in class through mails.

One of the things i liked the most was the quality of lecture given by the professors
The campus is very spacious the college has every facility
A fully equipted studio and lab for Journalism students

Dislikes

Things i disliked was the most has to be the locality the college is really nice but the locality is a bit shady

I always wanted to take up Journalism as a career and the thing which caught my attention in this college is that they have a fully equipted studio room and other colleges may have one but the students even publish there own news report here it prepars us very well for the real world

My Experience at Jaipuria to summed it up.

Likes

Quality education and an academically enriching environment. Most importantly, well- versed professors.
Extra- curriculum activities, along with an active sports cell and NCC, and usually various opportunities to participate in Inter-College Competitions.
Well maintained gym with separate timings for girls and boys. The canteen offers a wide variety of foods at an affordable price.

Dislikes

For my department, there was no educational excursion.
Negligence internship opportunities are available for my course.
Only some placement opportunities are available, and companies like TCS and Wipro came up for campus placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My passion and a bit of curiosity in International Relations led me to choose this course. The curriculum, in fact, prepared me well for further academic pursuits. For improvement, educational excursions and internship opportunities should be made available. The exam is held twice a year on semester basis, with papers set at a moderate to difficult level.

A balanced view of campus life and learning

Likes

The English department has experienced and supportive teachers. Most professors explain concepts clearly and encourage discussions, close reading and critical thinking.
The course is very affordable, especially compared to private colleges. With scholarships, it becomes accessible for students from middle and lower income backgrounds.
The college has a friendly and diverse student crowd. The girls to boys ratio is balanced with slightly more female students, which creates a comfortable learning atmosphere.

Dislikes

The infrastructure needs improvement. Classrooms and common areas could be better maintained and modern facilities are limited.
There are very few placement opportunities for arts students.
Although some academic events take place, extracurricular activities and active student societies could be improved for better campus life.

Placement Experience:

There are limited on campus placement opportunities here, especially for Arts and Eng Hons students. Most students focus on higher studies, competitive exams or off campus opportunities after graduation. The college provides basic guidance through teachers but formal placement drives are rare.

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

Likes

The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.
It is an all boys college and it is without any doubt a ragging-free campus. There is anti-ragging cell as well as student councelling cell available on the campus to help out with these issues.
The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.

Dislikes

The administration is not always the best. Applications, forms, seminars and event permits all required a long time to get approved by the authorities as most of the time it meant compromising our strict schedule as it is a residential college.
The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum provides a comprehensive retrospective of literature from the Old English period to Modern period, while also including English works by Indian authors to demonstrate the diversity and evolution of English literature over the years. The current curriculum I believe requires more seminars and lectures from guest faculties on contemporary research and topics.

I really like the environment of our college .

The unavailability of the boys hostel in our college .
No bigger playground to play ...as there is only volleyball court to play .
The toilet facilities are not poorly managed .

I really liked geography as a subject for learning and exploring as it includes fieldwork , surveys and excursion which enhances our mind and experience in our life and this way we have many opportunities to learn new things in our life which is helpful for our future purposes. The only improvements I would like to note that to improve the toilet facilities and placement opportunities.

My overall experience is too good with good environment
I get proper theoretical knowledge from experienced faculties.
We get hands on experience from different star categories of hotels during the course in every weekend.

I chose this college over other colleges due to its high reputation, especially regarding the B.Com course. The college also has a very prestigious range of alumni and good placement opportunities. It consistently ranks among the top colleges in our country, most recently gaining the 6th position on the NIRF scale. The college also has a well-reputed faculty and a record of good teaching. The college admission process was fairly simple. It was an online process - and included filling up a detailed admission form along with online submission of necessary documents. After that came the payment of the application fee. The selection lists containing the names of selected students came out a few weeks later, with a link for the payment of the admission fee for the first semester. St Xavier's College is the best

I would like to start with these college facilities: Faculties are well experienced and with good knowledge and have proper communication way. The infrastructure is of this college is the best I . Classrooms are equipped with AC in summer and are huge to prevent suffocating. Admission is a very easy process here with less paperwork, have to simply apply online or fill forms and each form costs 1000 (at my time). Have to carry results and certificates of other exams and the minimum marks are required to get selected. And thereafter give a written test on the campus and thereafter give an interview over there. If you will be qualified they may get in touch with you through mobile and email also. The forms are out in the month of June and the dates are fluctuating.
