The canteen of college is not upto the mark.
The seating arrangement in classes is very poor.
Students have to wear uniform to go to college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very much upto the mark.All the subjects taught are very much needed for real-world applications and are also needed for higher studies.The exams are moderate in difficulty.I think there should be a slight improvement that is some projects should be introduced in curriculum that the industries work on.

Placement Experience

The placements offered by my college is very good compared to other private colleges in Kolkata.The average package is around 5 lakh per annum and highest package as of previous year is 20 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The semester fees is 70000 per semester.Only for the first sem they take a additional amount of 20000 for registration.The college also provides some scholarship programs for students in need.Also some amount of money is charged for the semester exams admit card generation.

Campus Life

The college has lots of clubs that the students can participate in based on their preferences.Also lots of events are organised throughout the year related to sports, cultural,tech, hackathons and so on.

Admission

The students are selected solely on the basis of marks obtained in WBJEE and JEE mains examination. Additionaly a entrance exam is also conducted by college and the students can get admission through their also.

Faculty

The faculty members are very much proficient in the subjects they teach.They are very helpful and always clear doubts that students have even during lunch breaks.For each subject there is atleast 2-3 teachers who takes different classes.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

Students become eligible for campus placement starting from 6th semester ,meanwhile u can also get paid internship from 5th semester itself .The companies which visited the campus most frequently are Cognizant ,TCS ,Infosys ,IBM ,PwC ,BMC ,Tavisca ,Wipro ,Amazon .Tavisca provided over 12 LPA while BMC provided over 14 LPA ,meanwhile in 2024 ,a new record of highest package emerged which is of 21 LPA.The Average package is 480,000 rupee CTC .Over 80 to 90% of students are placed and the college has a very good alumni network which provides u with referrals and possible jobs.I plan to join a IT company after getting my degree

Mainly mass recruiter companies like TCS, wipro, Infosys, cognizant comes here.Some top notch mncS like oracle,amazon, Microsoft also comes here .One senior of our previous batch got 1 cr Per annum in off campus way. Avg package is 10 lpa like . Jft and pst branch has full 100% placement. My plan after getting the degree is to be placed in top notch mnc & work as SDE.

When I was searching for the best college to get the admission, some people told me to try for Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) and after I got admitted to this college, I really understood that I selected the right college. I will always prefer this college because discipline is strictly obeyed in IEM and all the teachers are like parents. In 2019, admission was going on offline and it was held around the month of July. This year, due to covid pandemic, the admission process was held around the month of October and from 2nd November, online education started for the first year batch. According to me, the one and only bad aspect is that every semester, Rs. 65,000 is to be paid by each and every student to continue with their education which is quite high according to me.
