The curriculum of the college is well designed but not according to the modern world, the college more focus on theoretical knowledge as compared to practical knowledge which creates problems for the students during their placements where companies want practical knowledge.

No tution fees for SC and ST students and also this criterion is applicable to which students (GEN, OBC, EWS) have an income below 1 lakh. These students who have income below 5 lakh and have fees also reduce Hostel and mess fees for all students are the same. In college, for students, many scholarship opportunities are available for students who have income issues Name of scholarship FFE, STATE SCHOLARSHIP. RELIANCE SCHOLARSHIP, ONGC, etc. The amount of scholarships is around 50000. NIT Raipur has a good aluminium network so that's in many placement opportunities.

Many club communities in college for personality and skills development like Motorsports sruti eklectrika summer. Eklectrika Summer and Tecnocracy is the Annual fest in College. Eklectrika is the most famous fest in NIT Raipur is the largest fest in central India. In the class room LED ,projector are available for PPT Some classroom AC are available One new sports complex is currently in nit Raipur It has many sports places like badminton courts table tennis Gym, etc. Separate cricket and football grounds are available on campus.

You must complete your 12 from any board with 75%. For some states, boards have different criteria like Bihar and U.P board in which your rank in the Board's top 20 percentile you also applicable. For the NIT admission process, the JEE MAINS exam is also clear with a good percentile. Application for Jee main entrance is available on the NTA website and application fees for SC and ST students are 5 hundred and GEN, OBC, and EWS are 1000 10% reservation for GEN-EWS students and 16% for SC students, 28%for OBC students is available.
