I am GATE qualified student and i scored 32 and cutoff was 22 in 2013. In thapar in production stream there were vacant sheets so i grab them without wasting any time and it is good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

Production is good stream in ME. There are few subjects like cad,cam,machine design,metal casting,metal forming,industrial automation,Automation,mathematics.

Internships Opportunities

First stipend was 8000 but now its 12400. Thanks to AICTE. Companies for B.Tech are many. But for me are less. Industrial placement of ME student is very low.

Fee of B.Tech is much expencive its around 120000 rs per semester while for me its 55000 per semester so fee for me student is average.

Yes loan facilty is available. But i think college does not provide any loan.

Hostel Facilities

Generally students of me student lives in pg outside of college while be students live in college hostel. Hostel is expensive but provides better service.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

In thapar university seniors are pretty good and they share their experties and experience and they are pretty helpful from every aspects.

4 Placement Experience:

Teh campus placements are not that good for this course. It's good for BTECH students but for Mtech it is not at par. Till now for my batch hardly 5-6 companies came for internship out of which hardly 4 took the candidates.

The Placements at Lovely Professional University(LPU) are descent overall, especially for undergraduate program like B.Tech. But for for the Masters students the placements are not good, they focus on research work only.

Thapar University : A Blend Of Quality Education And Strong Placements

Placement Experience:

if there are no backlogs student first gets a chance to be placed at a good company as an intern after 2 sem internship usually is for 3 & 4 sem. College makes sure you get a great company with high stipend and ppo offer also. after the internship completion either the student get placed at the same company or the placement drive also begins from 3 sem only where you can apply and get interviews with the organization

You will get many opportunities to furnish yourself as the faculty members are too supportive. You will get to know many conference on daily basis that can upheld your boost and make you morally supportive. Doing masters there would lack of strictness as they thought your are grown up, they considered you only for exams and other circulum activities. University should seriously take in action the role their teachers are playing as they sometimes bunk many classes. Exams are not that tough as you would require basic knowledge of your subject.

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. i applied for lnmiit college jaipur . there i was expecting computer branch but did got electronics branch so i didnt went there.here in thapar it was based on jee mains percentile for addmission. computer branches were available till 89 percentile for punjab students and till 94 percentile for outside punjab students. so i had percentile of 95 so i easily got computer branch over here....Read More
