Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

As a student pursuing BCOM profesional degree i have to do a professioanl qualification of CIMA.Eventhough i am doing BCOM i am under the department of professional studies, the school of commerce finance and accountancy has divided into two departments that are department of commerce and department of professioanl studies all the BCOM and BBA programmes that comes with professioanl courses along with them are under the department of professioanal studies.Pursuing a professional course along with degree finds better. The curriculum is well developed and planned and includes many extra add on courses provided by IITs and other top institutions in India.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

I did internship in my 4 th semester and i worked in an NGO called earth5r as a content creator and human resourece manager. My job was to make content on the sustainable HR practices and post those on social media, that was a good experiance though,it gave a me good corporate exposure, eventhough it was an unpaid internship the certificate is worth adding in the CV.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are eligible to apply for campus placements from the 5 th semster onwards,Christ university is known for their best placements. Many big companies like Deloitte, Deshaw, KPMG, EY, and Goldman Sachs often come to college for placemts.Even some companies provide interships with a stipend of 60000 a month and in most of the cases those inters will get PPO ( pre-placement offer). The highest package is 24 lpa and an average package is 500000 lpa. When the number of students applied for placements is taken we could say that a 90% of them are got placemts from the university. My Plan after getting degree is pursue my higher education

Fees and Financial Aid

Tuition Fee for my particular course is found to be little much higher when compared to other colleges. The fees is higher for students of department of professional studies because it include the tuition fee for the professioanl course too(Exam fee for profesional course has to be paid).it is somthing that normal people cannot afford, but the university provides scholarship facilities, after the first year you have apply for the fees reduction with the respective documents, you should keep a prescribed percentage of mark to avail of this fee reduction.F

Admission

There is nothing to be not liked about the admission process.Christ university have their own entrance test CUET(christ university entrance test) in which you have to go through a personnal interview,Micro presentation and and general test.If you manage to clear all the aforemntioned things you are eligible for the course, idont think the marks for class 12 really matters in the admission, you have to do really good in the CUET. The application form can be found in the christ university website and you acn apply online after applying you can log into the website with the given credentials and can follow app the application status, application fee is 5000rs.I am not sure about the reservation benefits.T

Faculty

4

Faculties of Christ university are very much qualified in their respective subjects. Most of the faculties are holding PHD in thier respective subjects that will create a great impact on their teaching. In my opinion proper faculty- student ratio is maintained in the university, the faculty are very approachable and they are available at most of the time.

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
