Course Curriculum Overview
Appropriate experiments, excursions, lab activities, workshops, etc. are conducted for the students to learn about the subject. The syllabus is taken good care of by the teachers with revision on the topics. Exams are conducted very often including each of 4 continuous assessments every month followed by practical exams and the theory semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are available at any time of the course. The college is pretty good at giving permission during internships. Many paid and unpaid internship opportunities arise throughout the course time for the students.
Placement Experience
After the 6-7th semester students get eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS and Wipro are one of the mass recruiting companies. Almost all the students get placed with an average package of 3 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee for a bachelor of technology in electronics and communication engineering is 5.5 lakhs for the entire 4 years. Many scholarships are available including the Swami Vivekanand scholarship and other different merit scholarships. Loan opportunities such as the West Bengal government student loan are also available.
Campus Life
The college has many clubs for the students to take part in. Tech clubs, sports clubs, cultural clubs, etc are present for the students. Students can enroll themselves in any clubs of their choice from their 2nd year and these clubs conduct events throughout the year.
Admission
Wbjee and jee mains are the accepted modes of admission in the college. For ECE you'd have to have within 12k of wbjee rank to qualify. Diploma options are also available and the college also supports lateral entries of students.
Faculty
A large amount of teachers/faculty members are present for every student's understanding. Classes are taken on a regular basis and attendance is maintained. Teachers are very helpful and kind and are always there for help. We are provided with their phone numbers for us to contact them whenever in doubt or through our CRs we can convey our questions.
