Likes
- Environment: university has a clean and green environment with proper build parks and trees all over the university feel like a cold and good plce to spend our time of graduation here. Cats, dogs, morr, ducks etc are seen often times
- Proper dustbins are installed and water coolers are present everywhere for all the students with beautiful infrastructure and classrooms. One of the biggest library in northern campus with World’s top scientists as teachers and guide.
- University is spread over 500+ acre of area with beautiful views all over and a pleasant places to walk around. People of all the cultures are seen even international students also. Near by market and city Amritsar.
Dislikes
- Some times outsiders come to walk in university Which is not a big problem but students hate it. Cars are nit allowed of students to enter in university only staff cars are permitted to enter if family of student is visiting they are allowed to bring
- Hostel is not too good they are just in okay conditions students can stay there but infrastructure of hostel is too old and mess is food is just okay to eat not too tasty.
- Some departments are very far from hostels if you have vehicles then its fine otherwise you have to wait for universities electric vehicles.
Course Curriculum Overview
This was one of the best decisions to enter this course at this university the teachers are the top scientists and with best guides for their students. Experimental work is performed to teach the students with proper Lab assistants and help.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are necessary for many courses to teach real-life work if you are not able to find the internship program your teachers help you to find it. A certificate is also given which is very helpful during the placement process
Placement Experience
Placements are good if you have studied well throughout your degree they provide common as well as specific placements for the students so that you can get to sit in the job they like 30% of students get placement on campus and sometimes it is about 50% also they provide a good package for the starting ones with in-hand salary of 20-40 thousand per month
Fees and Financial Aid
Our university have fees from 15k one semester to 1 lakh 1 semester depending on the course but if you are from poor family with BPL documentation and income certificate your fee will be given by the university and additional 5-10k is given to a student whether you are gernal or sc. Different activities are conducted throughout year for scholarships and other benfits.
Campus Life
Overall university life in this campus is great you can enjoy your life with your friends and batch mate along carrying your studies sideways which will make you a complete person not only the ones who have to focus only on studies no one interfere in each other's work so no problem regarding that
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are good hut hostels aare bit old and continuous repair of seprate places is gone on for paint doors etc. 24 by 7 water supply 24 by 7 electricity all included in 19500 per year monthly mess bill may vary from 1100-2400
Admission
Admission to b.tech was based on the jee entrance exam and in BSc, there is the university's entrance exam then counseling is conducted based on your no. And ranking you can fill in the preference of your course. The admission process is simple but lengthy. Great for the students who had scored less they can also get admission easily
Faculty
All the departments have only P.hd teachers to teach with an outstanding level of knowledge around the world teachers are Indian scientists who studied from America, Japan, Canada, etc. all departments have different amounts of teacher-student ratios but it is not above then 100:1 even low in some departments. Students and teachers share a bond of guidance.
