Campus:- most beautiful part of the college
Faculty:- the faculty of ECE is very experienced and helpful.
Weather:- weather is the best here. Not too hot

Dislikes

Placement:- On campus placement is very bad.
Administrative Faculty: they ar not experienced or professional.
Principal:- The principal is not so good.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is a Government Engineering College under West Bengal government. Tuition fees - 6000×8 ( for ece and cse) 3000×8 (for ce, me, ee) Exam fees - 1200×8 Scholarship - SVMCM ( yearly family income less than 2,50,000) - 60,000 per year.

Campus Life

The campus is very big and beautiful. This is a Riverside (Torsha) campus. There is Esperanza Culture cum Technical Fest. Cricket and football competitions are happening. There are several clubs like music sports etc. Overall campus and campus lis are good

Hostel Facilities

There is Hostel for 4th and may be 3rd year students. Fees - 25000 per year. Hostel meal quality is ok. Menu is in the hand of students or mess committee. I am also is the mess committee. There is many rented Pg.

Admission

Eligibility:- 12th pass from Science. Crack the WBJEE exam. Then concealing. My rank is around 10K Reservation available. Cut-off is highest for CSE and ECE departments. Under 10K. This is Government Engineering College. So you should crack WBJEE.

Faculty

I am from Electronics and communication Engineering. The Faculty of ECE is the best. All professors ar lab assistant are very experienced and helpful. 5 Doctored professors. The Hod is lak a guardian. He is very helpful.

Reality of IIT KGP

Placement Experience:

Placements depends on your skills Usually there is a compulsory internship at the end of 3rd year If you didnt get it via college you should do it from outside but its compulsory And at the end of 4th year you get placement. Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

Placement Experience:

The students can apply for internship via Career Development Centre in the beginning of their pre final Year. they can go for off campus intern whenever they want. Most of the goo companies would come and mostly for software finance consulting etc. The placements start in the second last semester as far as i know. The competition for placement is getting really high these days

Course Curriculum Overview:

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

NIT DURGAPUR - A Detailed Breakdown

Placement Experience:

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

SURTECH REVIEW

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.

Remarks:

Placement for IT streams is very good but not good for the core stream. Infrastructure and campus beauty are very good. Faculty are average. Canteens are slightly costly but foods are ok. Hostel and Transport facilities are available.
