Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As we're aware that the government is investing in semiconductors industry.A lot of focus will be paid towards this sector, chipsets mobile phones are being aimed to be fully manufactured in India. So upcoming 3-4 years are going to be a boon in the electronics and instrumentation field, therefore its an opt time to study this discipline. The only thing that I feel should be improved is we should be provided with more internship opportunities so we can relate the course to real world.applications. Exams are taken twice a year,2 sems and its of moderate level.

Internships Opportunities

2

For first year, not much opportunities are there and students mostly go for paid internship.DU also has its own internship platform DU India that only allows meritorious students to take part in. Internship opportunities are mostly floated on groups

Fees and Financial Aid

A lot of reservation is provided in DU specially to the locals. Also financial aid is given to the economically weaker students.Students with an annual family income less than 800000 are provided with numerous scholarship. The total tuition fees of my course was around 65000 excluding the hostel fee that is around 86000 annually.

Campus Life

4

So DU is known all for its fest and society culture. Numerous fests are held all throughout the year in different colleges and mostly the entries are allowed to DU students. In my college Shaheed Rajguru, some much awaited fests include Karwan, Sparddha, Ujjwal and many more. Library is well maintained with almost all the books that one would require in their discipline. For sports the annual fest Sparddha is held that has participants from all over Delhi. Socities have their own significance and create impact on students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel provides delicious meals, it has wifi , laundry service.Menu is often filled with food items that students love. Hostel vacany forms are releases on the colleges website. One needs to fill it there.Only the ones who live very far away and are fresher are given the hostel facility. Hostel timings are strict and you have to be in by 7:00 pm.

Admission

The admission is taken purely under the CUET examination. Admission process I would say is actually very complex and confusing specially for someone who has just passed their twelveth. You have to choose from among ninety DU colleges with numerous course, you only get to reshuffle your preference list only once in this process. That is one wrong preference and its gone. Cut off was around 450 out of 600. I hadnt availed for reservation.

Faculty

4.5

So a batch of almost 30 students are taught by 3 core subject professors and 3 electives under the NEP.Mostly teachers here have either completes their phds or are about to complete. They're well aware of company standards and are a master of their subjects. They are very approchable and give us advices.

Other Applied Colleges

Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Computer Science)

Couldnt clear cutoff

Instrumentation is a very versatile field. It has components of all electronics, physics and mathematics and tech. This curated my curiosity towards this course. However the awareness around this field is low and more and more students must get to know about this branch.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is suitable for students. The SEC ( skill enhancement) and VAC ( value addition) courses are helpful for students for their future. Which prepares well students for the real world applications. Areas of improvment are the teaching methods of professors, they should keep a polite behavior so they students can easily ask their doubts. Timings of exams are sometimes not suitable in winters it's freezing cold to go to exams in morning in December and jan months

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are many practicals i did performed in our labs which provides me experience. Almost all the apparatus are available to the students during practicals which makes it efficient to perform hard practicals easily. Exams difficulty is somtimes above average. Insufficient time during exams because the answers asked can only be explained in deep which takes longer time along with dig. Requirements.

Students depending on the course get campus placement offers from semester 5. But for most courses further studies and competitive examination is the preference and available route. My course does not have placements offered.

The frequency of exams happens in 5 months of semester. The difficulty level of exam is usually moderate but sometimes it may get difficult.

For me this Course is best because every thing in the curriculum is just broad version of 12 th and for me the science is easiest to handle as of my interest. Its just all i wanted Yes it is good but there is a very few career option within this course so either you have to do msc from reputated college or just plan else Yeah the only worst thing about this is if you do 4th year only the you got the honours degree in specific dse course The exam happened once in semester besides the IA tests are that are easy

I really wanted to learn more about the chemistry about our body and how we as individual work the course in itself is very much relevant and i always wanted to be a doctor but since i couldn't clear neet i went with the next best option The course teaches us about all sort of day to day aspect the most relevant include eg carbohydrates metabolism and how we digests sugars and enzymes yow they work etc areas of improvement may include that we should be more practical oriented then theory oriented we should learn more about the practical aspect the exams are moderately difficult with a 2hr theoretical exam and a 5hr practical both set at moderate difficulty

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the B.Sc. mathematics honours curriculum as good in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. The syllabus is concept oriented and well strong theoretical foundations which is helpful for higher studies and competitive exams. The topics across semester is structured and this course is quite demanding and can feel intensive specially in the initial semester while the curriculum is academically, strong, incorporating more application based components could make it more better or balanced because it lacks there, and it's not more practically oriented.
