What Students Say

Likes

Faculty is really qualified and provide a holistic learning experience.
The facilities are very comfortable to stay in and easy to adapt to.

Dislikes

There are a large number of people, which makes joining any club or society tough due to the number of competition.
The crowd is very mixed. Not very great.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course meticulously covers all the important aspects of each subject which is also quite fun to learn. Most subjects are relevant to the course. There are enough real life scenarios discussed in class which help apply the theory to the practical. Exams are held at the end of the 2 semesters in a year.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are good and open to all students. Stipend is not generally provided. It is a very easy process. An internship report and uploading of certificate is necessary after completing the internship.

Placement Experience

Internships are given to all students through superset if they choose to apply through it. Not a large percentage of people are placed after graduating. Few are places in top tier firms, depending on their GPA and participation in certain activities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total cost touches 9 lakhs. Scholarships are given based on Merit and Means together, not separately. Campus employment is as per the discretion of professors, who take students for internships with them or some became teaching assistants. There is stipend in some cases as per my knowledge.

Campus Life

Festivals take place very often. Amit Trivedi performed in the last Biswamil, a cultural fest. Books are usually accessible. Clubs are not easy to get in due to the large number of people applying. So hobbies are usually limited.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels are very comfortable, with house-keeping happening whenever requested. All students are required to stay in the hostel in general circumstances. Meals are of questionable taste. Menu is varied however for most cuisines, giving ample options to all.

Hostel Fee: INR 400000 per year

Admission

Course is eligible by all 12th grade pass outs. It is easy to apply to, after giving the LSAT exam. A 60th percentile mark is necessary to get in. The exam takes place in January and June, with the choice to the student depending on the time convenient to them. It is not too tough, a few sample questions are good enough to prepare.

Faculty

The faculty has so far been very good. They have all completed PHDs, some in esteemed universities like Cambridge and Harvard. They are approachable and interactive, and help in case of any doubts. Overall, most professors have been great.

Likes

The university has a good infrastructure and learning facilities
The university has supportive faculty and interactive teaching methods
It provides opportunities for internship, moot court, seminars, and extracurricular activities

Dislikes

Some administrative processes can take longer than expected
Can be a crowded campus during peak hours
Sometimes washrooms are not as clean as they should be

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum 4 out of 5 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offers a balance of theoretical knowledge as well as the practicality of the system through moot courts, internships, legal research, and case studies. Examinations are conducted twice in each semester mid semester and end semester exams along with internal assessments, viva, presentations and assignments. The difficulty level is moderate

Faculties are helpful, if students needed them they are genuinely help students and clear all the doubts also solve the problems.
management is good and also liked the structure of the university

Dislikes

Sometimes there is many issues in portal app and because of that we survive in our attendance shortage

The teaching method is also good and faculties make sure that students must understand what they are teaching. Also the timing of exams is good according to the question paper. And sometimes it is difficult to complete the exam but it is not short

Best university in gurgaon

Likes

I love the classrooms. They are very well maintained and have the latest technology to be used.
The facilities of law department are very experienced and very well known to the current status of law
The placement are very good. Every student can apply to the placement cell in the college and companies also visit to our college and we are very keen to have this university.

Dislikes

Sometimes washroom are not well maintained
Canteen service can be fast and can be improved
Overall, maintenance of this university is really good, but some part of the university are not clean and maintain

The teaching methods and the syllabus that we are currently studying at every semester is very well created to have the real word experience as we have criminal law, Property law and different type of laws like contract act at all helps us to know what is going on the real world of law and in courts, we also have side-by-side visits in courts jail that gives us the real life experience and the course that we study every day is very well, created

A great learning experience at K. R. Mangalam

Likes

The environment of the campus is really good. Teachers are friendly and always available to help. The canteen area is good for social bonding.

Dislikes

There is nothing to dislike, i really found the university interesting.

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, with students eligible in the final year. Average packages range from 4-6 LPA. I plan to join the bar, gain legal experience through legal internships and pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not so useful and good for legal department. Because no one wants to go to small legal firms which don't have potential to make future. Generally students don't prefer to get placed in co-operate firms as it does not gave any practical help in future in you leave them.

Likes

Huge campus, we can walk around, lot of sports facilities for students, Nescafe for students and good medical care as well.

Dislikes

There are many empty spaces in the campus which can be used or developed to use for various activities

Placement Experience:

Students in their final year are eligible for placements. There are many companies from all over the world that come for the placement. The highest package has gone upto 30 lakhs. While the average package is 19 lakhs. Our college provides 100 percent placement. Students can opt to not sit in the placements and find jobs on their own as well.

Glimpses of DBRA

Likes

Faculty is very knowledgeable and open to students, helps them in every sort possible.
Good location, vicinity and areas around are good.
Great gardens with scenic spots, very lively for students.

Dislikes

Administration is very slow, like the administration work are always delayed.
Sports facilities are not adequate, no dedicated grounds for badminton,basketball, etc.
Average food, food is tolerable but you might get bored of it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculam is very nice for the law subjects but for the BA subjects it can be very tiring at times. Like same concepts are repeated again and again in various subjects. E.g- Often what taught in Pol Science is same to what is taught in History, so it can be repetattive on some occasions.

The day to day life in Dr. BR Ambedkar National Law University Sonipat

Likes

The fact that it is a national law University
That the infrastructure is pretty great providing all the basic amenities
That it is in NCR automatically making it likeable and accessible to delhi

Dislikes

That we have an intime of 8 pm but guaranteed it's valid still

Placement Experience:

Yes the placements are offered in the college since right now only one batch is passed out much can't be said but the students got placed in tier 1 law firms with 8lpa and more packages making it a good placement drive in itself.

An Overview of Faculty of Law, SGT University

Likes

The extra activities that the college provides for the students are insane and it gives a kind of break from study and academics to the students.
A proper decorum that univeristy maintains has to be one of the best things to keep in check the students and their behaviour. There are actions to be taken if any misbehave happens in the campus without any delay.
The administration is quite helpful for the students and the faculty also maintain a good relation with the students as to provide them good understanding of the subject.

Dislikes

The college has to work on their timings as it starts from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, due to this students tends to compromise their personal time just a little much

Placement Experience:

A students is eligible to sit on placement after their 9th semester is completed in the college. Law is a profession in which students don't prefer to sit on placements because of the experience and connection that they have made during their time in internship. Students tends to apply for off campus opportunities for corporate or even litigation practices other than in campus placements. But nonetheless the college provides the placements for the students who sits on placements. The amount and packages varies every time. As I will be a second generational lawyer after this course, I won't be sitting for the placement as I have my own plans regarding the profession of law.

HONEST ASSESSMENT OF DBRANLU

Likes

Recently there was the installation of Air Conditioners (AC) in most of the hostel rooms.
Students Get off on Saturday and Sunday.

Dislikes

Very limited sports facilities mainly Volleyball & Cricket. Also the college didn't organise or provide funds for any cultural and sports events.
The college administration's response is very slow and many times didn't considers the problems of the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There were two exams per semester, first is mid term examination and second is end term examination. Difficulty level of examination is totally subjective, depending upon year of study and subject. While the mid term difficulty level could range between easy to moderate.

Exploring the pros and cons of pursuing a law degree at OP Jindal

For getting into op jindal for law we have to write LSAT-INDIA exam. In order to be eligible for the course we have clear LSAT and have atleast 45% in 12th. After that we have to fill the application form sent by the university via mail. There is no reservation in LSAT-INDIA. LSAT-INDIA is conducted twice a year, usually in January and June.
