Likes
- The infrastructure is good with seperate buildings for seperate departments helping students to focus on that particular field of interest
- The faculty is highly qualified with a bunch of them having international degrees or work experiences abroad.
- The faculty tries their best to impart the knowledge and skills required by the students to be good engineers. The concepts are taught thoroughly and in case of doubts, revisited and revised multiple times till the concept seems clear to everyone.
Dislikes
- While infrastructure is good, there can be a little more shift towards maintaining them
- The mess food needs improvement for the most part.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum covers all the subjects and topics required to get good grasp of the field and learn all the fundamentals and their principles and their applications in real life. Theory classes teach you all the concepts and practical labs teach you how to implement those concepts. For testing on one's knowledge, tests, quizzes and exams are held timely with prior notification so students have time to revise.
Internships Opportunities
Multiple companies come with internship opportunities. Some are government ones and some are private companies. They offer stipends for the duration of internships. ICs(Internship Coordinators) let the other students in their respective branches know of the opportunities that come and help them out for off campus internship applications too.
Placement Experience
Students can sit for placement from 3rd year itself. Though it is highly unlikely that placement offers come in 3rd year as it comes mostly in 4th year, but there has been cases where 3rd year students also get placed. Besides placement, one can even get good internships which based upon their performance can later get turned to a placement offer. Many good companies have visited and have hired students from this college.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees per semester are different for everyone considering their annual income or caste and in certain cases, financial aid is provided. Normally fees for general people are required to pay around 70-72k per semester but with grants and scholarships, it is sometimes less.
Campus Life
There is a plethora of college clubs. From Technical clubs to cultural clubs to sports clubs to social service clubs, everything is present for anyone who wants to explore other sides besides academics. The college holds cultural and technical fests annually with guest appearances from some household names. Besides fest, other programs are also held. Intercollege competitions are also held.
Hostel Facilities
One needs to apply for the hostel and follow the path guided to them by the administration. There are seperate boys and girls hostels. The infrastructure of the hostels is good and the rooms are okay, but some care needs to be given to the mess food quality and taste.
Admission
You have to give Jee Mains and get good percentile and secure a good rank. Then through the process of Josaa counselling, with your preferences in choice filling, you are alloted a seat if your rank satisfies their eligibility criteria. There are some reservations made for other casts and also homestate and otherstate eligibility rankings are different.
Faculty
There is adequate amount of faculty in every department and this kind of helps in balancing the subject dynamic load by sharing the syllabus and assigning the teachers to their particular domains. This in turn, helps us as we get to learn the concepts from the faculty that is more skillfull in that subject and so on. The faculty is highly educated and always use a mix of traditional way of teaching with books, lectures, explaining on the boards and so on and also a more modern approach as in providing pdfs, links for further assistance in case students find the concepts hard. They are always there to listen patiently to our doubts and solve them at the earliest and in a way we actually learn. They are always happy to help us out.
