What i liked about Punjab Engineering College is its strong emphasis on academic excellence and innivation.
It has a vibrant campus life, with numerous cultural and technical events like PECFEST.
Additionally the institute's rich history and strong alumni network offers valuable connections and support.

Dislikes

The administration process can sometime be slow causing delays and frustration.
Hostels can be improved with better facilities.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees is the primary expense and varies depending on the program of study. For UG prog. the tution fees are approx 86-94K per sem. Scholarships are merit based, need based, government and institute specific scholarships.

Campus Life

PEC offeres a dynamic campus life characterized by diverse social interactons, active ckub involvement, and excellent infrastructure. The blend of academic rigour and extracurricular oppurtunities prepared students not only for proffesional success but also for personal growth.

Admission

The admission precess was very smooth. The application was done by the JOSAA committee. The eligibity of the course is according to the rank you get in the entrance exams and would depend on the cutooff

Faculty

The faculty to student ration is good and does not degrade the learning experience rather it increaes. The faculty is very helpful to the students. The interaction between the teachers and approchability is commendable.

Pec...The best college in chd

Placement Experience:

This college has decently good packages both the average package and median packages as well as almost 80 percent studnets are placed before the 4th year ends...if I talk about my branch the median was 11 lpa and almost 90 students were palced out of 120 in 2024

My review of PEC Chandigarh

Course Curriculum Overview:

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Pec is still worth it

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)

Great college with immense opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is upto date and to the industry levels, especially with great labs and internship opportunities. Exams, are based on the course but they're quite tough and we need to study daily to get good marks.

Good college with great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from 4th year and many get PPOs in 3rd year as well. Top companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Apple, Google, visits the campus for placement. In CSE last year, the highest package was around 60 LPA with average around 17-18 LPA with 80% got placed.

After the second year all the students become eligible for campus placement No big MNCs came into our college As per the student they offers and the highest package is around 20 lakhs and average package is 3 lakhs Almost 90 percents are getting the placements I am also preparing for the placements

college offers on campus placements from 4th year of the course . main companies are : Bains , JP Morgan , MaKinzey , PhonePe , Amazon , Apple visits here . highest and average package are around 60 lakh and 17 lakh respectively . 90 % students got placements this year .

Placements at our college are one of the most sought after aspects of Institute and play a crucial role in attracting students the placement process generally begins in the 7th semester where students become eligible to sit for complete drives pre placement talks aptitude drowns according test technical interviews and hour interviews are conducted depending on the profile a wide range of companies visit the campus spanning sectors like core engineering IT data science consulting analytics product based roles denounced recruiters like Microsoft Amazon Gold Demps such as JP Morgan Qualcomm Maruti Tata Motors Deloitte Pwc Infosys Wipro and Assinus among others the product based firms and tech giants usually hire in limited numbers but offer a lucrative packages for instance Microsoft and museums have made offers in range of 40 to 50 lakh per annum with analytics and consulting firms generally offer between eight to 15 lpa the average package of Institute to hover around 10 to 12 lpa varying across branches as for employability pec ensures the student remain industry ready those students still need to up skill through coding for platforms internships and certifications personally after completing my degree I plan to pursue opportunities in data science and Analytics leveraging my college names strong alumni network and my own technical preparation to secure competitive role in the industry

PEC: where engineering meets opportunity

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for placements after their sixth semester. Many companies visit PEC some of the top recruiters are Uber,Microsoft,JP Morgan,Goldman Sachs,Texas Instruments,Cisco,American Express and many more. This year the highest package was 61 lpa given to 3 students from circuital branches,6 students received offer of 52 lpa. The average CTC was 13.6 lpa and specifically about ECE it was 15.6 lpa. 456 out of 694 students were placed which is a placement rate of 65.7% including PPOs from companies. My plans would be to get placed with a good package .

Pec chandigarh review

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are offered and internships are also offered in the 3rd year, many new branches are also being introduced to the curriculum. Placements are according to the branch and capability of the student. There is good placement ratio.

I applied for NIT KKR electrical, but couldn't make it because of the rank. I applied for other colleges like IIIT Bhopal and Una but didn't choose them because of them being really remote or not at par with PEC. PEC among all my choices seemed best. Pec is still worth it

I chose this college because of the fees and legacy of college, it is more than 100 years old and everyone in the industry knows about it, the fees is low compared to others. the campus is decent 150 acres which is comparatively better than other government colleges (though if u want better campus and can pay high, go for thapar). I applied to thapar, IIITs but at the end chose here. I was rejected from NIT delhi due to rank (college tag is more valuable of NIT). Admission process is only through josaa and csab, only online (after jee mains). And cse at pec is very popular, along with ece....Read More
