Vaishnav's review on GCE Kannur

The course curriculum provided by KTU is a bit compact and time to complete the course is less. The guidance from faculties is really helpful for clearing university examination but we have to put on our on efforts for real world applications. The KTU university exam is easy to clear and can be prepared before one week from exam

Most of the internship opportunities provided by the college are from the alumni side. There have been internship opportunities by IIT madras, NIT thirchirapalli etc. Some companies such as Impactive and IBM also provided internship opportunities.

The placement opportunities at our college was good few years back but now there is a decline in placement numbers. The average package here is 4LPA and highest package is 8LPA. Most of the placement opportunities are IT based. I am planning for higher studies after BTECH.

We do have many scholarship schemes for students belonging to various communities. I am not availing any scholarship as there is no applicable one for me. The cost of education for one year is pretty less which is 9500 rupees. Other than this fees PTA fees is there.

Our college has a really big campus which spreads across 75 acres. It does have almost all the facilities such as a Library, laboratory, sports facilities, Clubs, and high-tech classrooms, etc. College has clubs such as IEEE, ISTE, Robocek, NSS, etc.

The college has hostel facilities for both girls and boys.The hostel fee is affordable, it cost around 35000 per year. Meals are provided at the hostel and it is a clean environment. Hostel has reading room, WiFi,Gym, Basketball court etc.

For getting into Kannur government college of engineering we need to go through KEAM examination which is conducted for students who have passed class 12. KEAM examination is comparatively easy when compared with JEE or other exams. The exam consist of Physics chemistry and Mathematics. Prepration can be done along with 11th 12 th preparation.

The college has really good and well qualified faculty unit for each department.All faculties are appointed by the government and all of them have PHD in their respective field. Most of the faculties are really friendly to the students and accesable all the time. Their guidance are really beneficial for college and university exams.
