The more passion you have towards engineering, the better you will be able to enjoy the course.
Placements and job opportunities are really good. This year, out of 60 computer science students, 58 students were placed in companies like TCS, Infosys, etc. No, our college does not provide internships.

Dislikes

If you are mechanical, then you have MRF, and if you are from any other branch, you have TCS.
Several scholarships are offered by different agencies to uplift the backward community and the poor

My College

Likes

The college have good library facilities. Every book we need to refer are in our college library.
There are many student clubs are in our college. So becoming a part of this societies help to improve us.

Dislikes

Over all infrastructure of college is note much good.
Placement opportunity is minimum.only less students are placed after b tech

Placement Experience:

Placements are provided in the college. But only less placements are occur. In my department out of 75 students only upto 30 are placed through campus placement. But good companys are coming for placement.

The college is one of the prestigious institution college for engineering in Kerala.A Student should get a good rank in Kerala engineering entrance exam to get admitted here.So we get a good social value as we study here.
Campus Life in college is very good .The campus is almost 70 acres so you can wander in a huge area.Students from all parts of Kerala study here.So we get friends from all parts of the state here

Dislikes

Nowadays we always use digital transactions,But in my college Digital transactions are still a dream for us.All the payment to the college is done on currency .
There are above thousand students studying in this college .But there are only 6 buses available.It makes the journey of the students from home to college a problem

Placement Experience:

Yes,Students will get placement from 7th semester.Many companies like Infosys,Wipro,TCS etc come for placement.Most of the companies hire in bulk from the college.Lowest CTC was 300k annually and highest CTC was 1000k annually.Almost 60 percentage students are got placed from here.Apart from placement many students prepare for all india exams like GATE,SSC JE etc

GCEK-Best Engineering College in Northern Kerala

Likes

The freedom we get in the campus and the campus life.
Well equipped labs and workshops for all branches

Dislikes

There is a lot of assignments in each semester.
There are two series exams and one semester exam in each semester.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement in the last year is little bit lesser comparing to the previous years. Like all other engineering colleges most of the recruiters are IT companies. Core companies are lesser comparing with IT companies.

Likes

Campus view:so calm and nature friendly, well cleaned campus
Hostel: when compare to other college hostel, gce kannur hostel is soo good, wifi, water filter, affordable mess fee

Dislikes

Infrastructure is not good as an engineering college ,should be improvede,
Ac, lab infrastructure is required, and canteen should be improved

Placement Experience:

Exams are based on sem, totally we have 8 sem, after completing semester 6 we can attend campus placement Average package is around 8 lack per annum, placement based on marks and skill Above 8 CGPA is safest score for placement My plan is after B. Tech taking masters in civil engineering also phd for teaching as professor

The college has reallh good well qualified faculties
The college has a big recently inaugurated library

Dislikes

The canteen facilities must have been better
The placement opportunities are very less

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at our college was good few years back but now there is a decline in placement numbers. The average package here is 4LPA and highest package is 8LPA. Most of the placement opportunities are IT based. I am planning for higher studies after BTECH.

The faculty is very experienced and the department is accredited by nba .
Good library and resource facilities for exam preparation and other academic studies

Dislikes

Not much internship opportunities provided directly from college.
Exam and academic schedule is tight with frequent exams and assignments.

Placement Experience:

Companies approach the college for campus placement from the beginning of final year of the course. Major companies are tcs Infosys wipro etc . The average package is 450000 per annum . Although as of now demand for engineers is low therefore placements are comparatively less . Therefore the percentage of students got placed this year is very less compared to 80% last year . My plan is to go for higher studies after this degree.

When I first attended my college there was a orientation session based on both academic and non academic like there are so many clubs like IEEE, ISTE ,ICI , so many
The clubs provide more extra skills like coding skills communication skills software skills

Dislikes

The temperature changes in college is so high
College ladies hostel will close after 9:30

There is placement cell in our college and in my second year they provide us a placement training session. They provide more placement opportunities and help us to get jobs . The placement cell have a committee and a student from each department and each year will in the committee

Overview of My College

Likes

Extra curricular activities often take place in the College
Labs are well maintained with well functioning equipment

Dislikes

Internships are not provided by the college
Classes get suspended due to strike from political parties

Placement Experience:

Every year many students are getting placement with high package. From 4th year onwards one can attend placements.College also provides placement assistant. The average package is 3.5lpa and the highest is 18lpa.About 80% of students are getting placed.Companies like TCS congnixant qburst l and t are most often visited.

Likes

It was the closest government to my home
It was near national highway so easy to reach

Dislikes

The college starts at 9 Am so I have leave early from house
Railway station is not near the college which makes it difficult for me since I was far away from college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Far little time is given for the semester.Exams comes fast but the results take forever. They are teaching basics of every field of engineering in first year but there is no evaluation is done to determine which field this student is doing well and make way for them to change the course

Likes

The campus was so good. There were many areas for recreation.
There were a number of good and dedicated faculties.

Dislikes

When it comes to things at office it took time
Some faculties didn't gave us the required attention and involvement

Placement Experience:

Placement cell was very effective in my college. Many companies came for campus placement. Many students were placed. The placement cell gavevery huge support to all the students. There are yet students who didn't get the offer letter from companies even now.
