Course Curriculum Overview

Scheme is well structured and covers core areas like Structural analysis, transportation engineering etc.Practical components such as cad labs ,field survey and site visit enhance real world application skills.

This collage has better placement opportunities.of reputed. Companies providing better packages.placement starts from the beginning of 7th semester .Companies such as mitsogo, L $T,cognizant etc are selecting students based on their skills.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees per semester is approx 10000 There are scholarships like egrants and nsp for both general and other caste students. There are better labs,placements and other facilities for students to enhance their careers

Campus Life

Campus is engaging and vibrant with annual cultural festivals and tech fests .The library is well equipped with wide range of books and journals.overall it is a good experience.creating a balanced experience .

Seperate hostels are available for both boys and girls with well accommodated building with clean and tasty foods.Mess bill are relatively lower compared to other collages around.There are filters too

Faculties are well educated and well mannered.they are willing to clear each and every doubt of students in a good manner.It is easy to clear all exams without fail.They provide better placement opportunities also

Night Life

Night life is relatively quite and focused on relaxing activities facilities like gym and canteen are available with ensuring safety.These experiences give a good balance between academic and leisures

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA

An honest review of GCE KANNUR by a student

The college is merit based admission college, to get admission in this college you have to write an entrance exam which is KEAM and I have a rank of 16000 in KEAM So the college I first confirmed admission was GEC Kozhikode which was a good college but the campus was too small so there was a spot admission which was held by GCE kannur and I applied for it The admission process is managed by KEAM they give you a date to take admission and the process gets done in 2hrs you have to be physically present with your parents , The overall admission experience was smooth and well managed by the faculties...Read More
