- Faculties are so good and experienced, they are very much friendly and always ready to help students.
- In final year of MBBS, some PGT seniors are taking our classes which are mind blowing because they are recently learning the concepts so they are very much enthusiastic to teach us.
- Hostel fees are negligible, and rooms are quit good if you maintain your room it feels like homely environment, also campus is small but beautiful
Dislikes
- First of all they need to spend money on maintenance, campus is good but suffered from lack of maintainance. Buildings need to clean and colour on regular basis.
- Floor of the hostel is dirty, things are here and there, many dogs are roaming in corridor always
- Hospital wards are not clean, specially medicine and surgery ward, there is so much patient load so its obvious that it could be dirty spontaneously, but thay can maintain which they don’t
Course Curriculum Overview
Thing that encourage me to opt this course is flexiblity and freedom. When someone complete his/her MBBS he/she is not bound to work in someone's supervision, they are free to choose the work according to their choice. After completing MBBS, everyone gains the knowledge and confidence to manage patient's problem in real world. I think some clinical things need to include from 1st year. With in year there are 2 semester examinations and 1 professional examination, gap between these exams are 3 months. Difficulty level of semesters are moderate to tough and professional exams are mild to moderately tough.
Internships Opportunities
After completing 4.5 years of MBBS we have 1 year of internship, in which we have to work as doctor in in different departments of the hospital. Stipends we get in this period is 31000 thousands per month.
Fees and Financial Aid
Admission fee 7000. Hostel fee 2 rs per month. Semester fee 4500 rs. Professional exam fee 2000 rs. Scholarship we minorities get are aikashree scholarship which give 21000 rs per year. After completing MBBS there is compulsory Internship for 1 year, in return they provide stipends which is 31000 rs per month.
Campus Life
Impulse, is the name of anual fest of MIDNAPORE MEDICAL COLLEGE which occurs on September every year. All types of books which a student need during MBBS are available in library. Faculties generally use projector to teach us. Sports like football, cricket, table tennis, volleyball are played in our campus.
Hostel Facilities
In a room they provide free electricity, fan, bed, study table, chair, wardrobe. Basically bengali dishes are available in hostel. Every student can get hostel room if they want. Also there are so many PGs near college in affordable price like 2000 to 5000 rs per month.
Admission
To get admission to Midnapore medical college you have to crack NEET. Cut off this college is around 30000 all India rank for general category students in NEET. Admission fee 7000. The admission process needs to be digitalization.
Faculty
Number of faculties are sufficient, in each department there are minimum 15 faculties, in each batch there are 200 MBBS students. Students can easily interact with faculties as and when they required, there is no restriction.
