An overview of my college

My course is Bcom. Hons. and I think its worthy of the hype it has got among the students of the University of Delhi. Most of the commerce students look up to taking this course at DU, after competing their school. The course is highly professional and gives a wide variety of career prospectives to the students in their future.

College offers a variety of internships to the students, basically in the finance domain. The job profiles offered includes, analyst, HR intern, recruiter, sales intern, etc. The average stipend is around 10k per month for internships.

Our placement cell is actively working on providing placements and internships to the students. There are a variety of job profiles offered that are suitable for every course. Students can sit for placement in their third year and internships are actively offered so others can apply for those as well. Companies such as DeShaw, Dream Jobs and Ngos visit our college for recruitment. And the average salary package is 2 LPA.

I think this part really needs to get improved as the fee at Mata Sundri College For Women is slightly higher as compared to other DU colleges. Although their is active scholarship scheme working in the college but very few students bother to avail it. When we complain about the high fee structure, we are unheard and no action is taken against this issue.

Overall campus life is just amazing. I love being around the place as it is located in Central Delhi. Not only the college is a divine place to see but the area around the college is very safe and warm. Our college id surrounded by many govt institutions and district courts all around.

Our admission into bcom hons course was initiated by NTA through a central level entrance exam. The process was smooth but as I mentioned earlier bcom hons is one of the most demanded course at DU and it is very difficult to get admission into it. My score in the entrance was fairly nice, so I got into this course and college in the first alotment but it may be a difficult task for you to get the course if your marks are less.

The faculty of mata sundri college for women is worth appreciating as all the members are highly educated, experienced and talented. Their way of teaching the complicated aspects is commendable and they try their best to make things easier for the students. We are provided with proper notes and pdfs of all the stuff that they discuss in the class.
