Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I have studied ba economics and maths, so they were pretty relevant as in economics we did deep discussion for some topics related to the current situation making the class more interesting, get your notes up for both the subjects as it is very important. For maths i would say now it is not related to the real world situation but for teaching career perspective you get to learn a lot of mathematics in details, might get overwhelmed as why to choose subjects like this . Totally depends on your choice but the subject are worthy for the coperate world.

Internships Opportunities

3

We have different kinds of internships , college research work database HR sales social media marketing influencer marketing it totally depends upon your skills and what you choose as your domain for the internship so that we can clarify on these type in basis this type and very from 1k to 10k and outsourcing internship for money is more worthy but if you want to gaining experience you can go for college internship as well. All you need is to make your resume shine for the internships as well by showcasing your skill you have learnt online or offline.

Placement Experience

3.5

We have a decent placement cell, many internship opportunities throughout the year both offline and remote as well as paid and unpaid. I had also secured a placement during my session for 6 lpa to a reputed company in gurgaon in my regards field. The highest placement in our session was 20 lpa to lowest was 3 lpa , totally depends on your skills and structure, knowledge and experience u have gained through internship, research work etc. Make your resume shine is the goal.

Fees and Financial Aid

Delhi University has the most affordable fees for college, mine was around 10 k for a year including the examination fees. Pretty affordable. The expenses would be for living around the college if you are an outstation like me, it is expensive for around 15 k for food and rent, electricity according to the place. Choose wisely as it the fees is affordable after expenses goes upto 25k for a month including everything.

Campus Life

4

Maitreyi is known for its beautiful gardens, an A++ credit college have a good infrastructures, properly ventelated classes. Only i wish to add more fans in bigger classes as it is not enough we suffer in peak summer. Overall it's good, nsb rooms are favourite, hygienic canteen well maintained no problem faced in three years of my college life

Admission

At my time no exam was there, admission was on the basis of class 12 th percentage but now to take admission in Delhi University u have to give cuet exam and then to choose colleges accordingly to the cutoff. Also now u have limited options as u needed to choose subjects, earlier u were free to choose any subject of your choice u would like to continue as graduation

Faculty

3.5

The faculty members are very good, friendly mostly the teachers are PhD there they will help you in guiding towards the great career opportunities. The teachers are available at any time of the day , connect with them on LinkedIn, WhatsApp, share your problems with them they will be the guiding force for you all. For assignment they might get very strict handle it with precautions as it for your final Marks and they are important. If you the cr of your class, my recommendation get a letter for it signed by them very good part for cv . Extremely helpful Even at the time of placements do not hesitate to ask for help.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose political science because i want to go for government exams and political science is an important subject for clearing government exams As per my info, my curriculum is very close to syllabus for exams like UPSC and SSC For improving teaching methods, projectors should be installed and implemented as it helps us to understand and see it more better The frequency of exam is twice a year as semester exam, and exam is not very tough nor too easy, it is medium level that anyone can score good marks if studied well.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Regarding course curriculum, I am not satisfied the additional courses like SAC, VAC, AEC have no purpose, they are just a headache which makes it difficult for students to focus on the main subjects, although I am in favour of GE subjects. The marking scheme of 90 marks written paper and 70 marks for internal is also great. Apart from this talking about political science honours curriculum, I will say it is pretty great, there are difficult concepts and bulky material to study from but it could be improved by reducing the weight/ pressure put up by other subjects- sec,vac...

Companies visit are often at our college like Deloitte, wipro , Infosys , KPMG etc but options are wide only for commerce background students they are limited for arts faculty students like me. Highest package is about 6 to 7 lpa while most of the package ranges between 4 to 6 lpa percentage of students getting are average and they are mostly from comm letce and economic or business background. I would go for journalism and choose IIMC for my master's.
