Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am currently pursuing graduation in MLNC and my course is Economics and English. I chose this course due to their wide scope and to have the great experience. I actually like this subject and always wanted to know about our economy and how the market functions. I can also choose the private sectors and can apply for the economic counselor in any company. I actually don't think that there is any need to improve anything in this course. As per my exams are concerned I had a great experience it is conducted every semester and difficulty level is medium anybody can solve the questions provided in exams

Fees and Financial Aid

As I have completed my 1st year here I don't have the much information about fee increase policies. Because I have paid it for the 1st year at a time and when I will pay this in second year then I can inform you all about the increase in fee. There is scholarship programs for the students to help them financially only u have to submit the required documents and you will be eligible for 100%fee redemption. My complete course fee is 11150 for 1 year it best for middle class family as we can easily afford it. I have organized society fest and it was a great feeling.

Campus Life

4

There are many festival conducted in each semester, either society fest or our College annual fest named Phoenix. They call famous personality to perform and enjoy the show. There is wide variety of books available in our library anybody can access it online also if you want. Our class rooms are not smart classroom and they should improve in this field. Anybody can play volleyball basketball hockey and cricket and tournaments are also conducted each semester, there are many society and club run by students in the college and anybody can join it and improve in that respective fields

Admission

As we had to appear for CUET and after that there was online counseling and all the required documents were verified online. If anybody want to this course then he had to appear in cuet exam and choose this course you have to appear in 3 subjects exam or includes GT and one language subject and one domain subject, you will get exam and every information on official website of DU and they will notify you in advance, there is reservation on caste basis and also on quota basis, exams are conducted each semester 6 months and the difficulty level is medium anybody can easily pass the exam, overall all good there is no area of improvement required in admission process

Faculty

4

Faculty members of our college are well trained and fully educated. They are very kind and soft hearted, always ready to help student and guide them about the various kind of scope in their own respective fields. Students to teacher ratio will be 25 to 1, I'm not sure but it may be the same. Anybody can approach them at any time either you can approach them online or physically. They can be found in library or staff room, my learning experience is overall very good due to less student and teacher ratio.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

As a future law student philosophy was one of the options which was good to opt. Secondly, comparatively less people opt it and it can be one of the better choices if you are preparing for upsc and taking it as an optional. Teaching can be made more interactive as the topics are really interesting

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
