Course Curriculum Overview

The course of mechanical engineering in this institute is the best amongst all the other branches or course as it provides the best placement. This course is going very good in the institute and student gets various opportunities to improve their skills. Exams and assignment are taken quite frequently to check the performance of the students.

Placement ratio of mechanical and chemical engineering students are the best that is maximum students gets placement. The average package is almost 5lack per annum. Other branches, the placement ratio is moderate. The highest package is 19 lacks per annum and the lowest package is 4 lack per annum.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure of this institute is 280000 for complete course upto 4 years, but incase one takes honour degree than he/she needs to pay 20000 extra hence the fee becames 300000. Various scholarships are available which one needs to be aware of . Stipend are given master's student and Phd student.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good in SLIET . The campus is very big with a great infrastructure. Sports facilities are good. Clubs are their to enhance the skills of a student and to improve their communication. Cultural fests are their which are held twice in a year , various sports activities are being organised for a healthy environment.

Hostels are quite decent and the environment of the hostels are good. The meal in the hostel mess is sometimes good and most of the time it is very poor. Hostels are being allocated by the college itself.

For general category students one need to get 80 percentile or above for getting admission in this college for sc category students it may 60percentile or above. The admission process is through jossa or csab counciling round . Apart from that leet examination is also taken for direct entry of diploma students in to 2nd yaer of BE.

Faculty's of SLIET are quite cooperative and helpful accept few of them the students is to faculty ratio is good to manage classes smoothly. Faculty's are highly qualified which helps student to enhance their knowledge and help in3 their study. Communication between teacher and student is also quite good.

- My college placement are better thant 70% of high reputated collegs in that area - The students are eligible from 6 semester means half way of 3 year for sitting in placements - thier are over 150 companies which visted our colleges every year and taking students from differect courses and offers are made up to 60%-85% of the students seated itn that placemnet drive - The Average package is aboout 3.5-4.0 lpa and the higgest package is for 2024 is 32lpa nad for the history the highest package is 54 lpa - 70-85% students get plcaed every year - WIll try for a good role in compant if not then persue master degree form the same college

Promising college, Disappointing Placements

Placement Experience:

from 3rd year onwards you are eligible for placements. In 6th semester placements starts taking place although most of the companies come in 7th and 8th semester. as Recession is going on for technical profiles less companies are coming and more of non technical profiles like mostlt sales profile are coming. As a BTech student no one wants to go in sales division as why are we even doing Btech if we have to go to sales department so that is a disadvantage. Also mass recruiters did not come this year for recruitments , Wipro came for 3.6lpa and cognizant for onlt 2.6lpa which is outrageous and they did nit even take a lot of students. It is a bitter truth but nowadays company wants even freshers to be highly qualified otherwise you won't get any placement. The test level is increased so try to give test with your friends only In my batch only 40% students got placed that too around 28% either got less package or non technical profile

Placements are very good here maximum students are getting placed in a cse branch and offered with a very good package many students are getting internships in their 3rd year or before the 4th year. Many good companies are coming in our college like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, wipro, TCS, Jindal, Flipkart, Amazon, Google, bajaj and etc. The highest placed gone last year was approx 15 lacs per annum and the lowest placement was gone approx 3 to 4 lacs per annum.

I take admission here after completing my 10th exam from CBSE in Diploma in CSE. You can say I am Corona Batch of College because i take admission in 2020 for Diploma when lockdown was started. So, we don't need to give any Entrance exam at that year. So, it is easy and best choice for me to take admission here other than starting prepararation for JEE with 12th Board. Honestly I came to know about this college about my neighbour, I haven't explored much about colleges before, but since I got to know about 500 acres area of campus and fees is just 3.5 lakh I decided this college as I was already getting computer science branch which is considered top among all the other branches !! Hi, I am Sachin Upreti. I am from Sant longwall institute of engineering and technology pursuing a BTech in CSE. I had applied for different NIT and GFTI and my jee rank was 59k so I didn't get cse in nit's, and in top GFTI's with this rank. But in the remaining colleges, I found SLIET as best because of their greenery, helping faculty and all. QUOTA- I had applied from the GEN EWS category. For this, your annual income must be less than 2 lakh per annum. And limited land area then you got 10 % relaxation. ADMISSION CRITERIA-- CSE ( gen ). 94+percentile. CSE(gen-ews). 93+percentile CSE( obc) 90+ percentile CSE(SC) 80+ percentile CSE(ST) 60+ percentile.
