Morning shift is so much good for students doing CA
College is very prestigious and good campus also

Course Curriculum Overview

The course was under CBCS curriculum and exam were mainly mcq based upto 3rd semester. After 4td semester the exam get going tough and you have to study hard. The students undergoing CA do have advantage as they have already studied the B.com in their CA inter.

Class Size: 90Course Fees: INR 1300 per year

Placement Experience

The course is very prestigious and very much companies come here for placements. It is very much likely that a students will get good placements if he has achieved good marks in his semester exams. Marks does matter

Fees and Financial Aid

Of course, the fees were very nominal as the college is under West bengal government. The fees for and semester is approx 600 to 800 hence it is very much affordable for meritorious and needy students. The college also have good placements of packages varying from 4L to 20L. EY, deloitte and DE SHAW came to placement in every year and offer very good packages

Campus Life

The quest is organised by students union each year and they also recovers some amounts from students. However the event worth watching and union also does the Saraswati pooja and many other college students also come

Admission

The course can be undergone after 12th. For admission in goenka college of commerce and Business administration one must need to ascertain least 90% and minimum 93% for morning shift. The admission form come on college website and fees is very nominal approx 100 rs

Faculty

All the professors were so much experienced and many of them were CAs and CMAs. The professors are very informative and they teach with a good communication skill. Overall the experience is excellent and great.

Placement Experience:

There is a placement cell club which functions in the college itself which is efficient in providing over 67 to 98% of students with placements. This percentage can vary for different years and different courses. The college has been successful in attracting top recruiters like deloitte, wipro, TCS, and leader companies from various other sectors. Packages vary significantly from 4 to 6 LPA up to 24LPA. After getting my degree i am planning to first make sure that i have completed my CA course that i am pursuing alongside. And then going ahead with either a job outside kolkata or open a business in kolkata itself.

Having fun at St. Xavier's

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum aligns well with the professional courses like CA and CMA. it has a lot of classes like value added course, modern indian language etc. which help us grow overall. The seminars are very helpful. We submit presentations on rela world topics which prepare us beyond the clasroom. It could be improved to reduce the excess theory portions. The frequency and timing is wonderful.

Beyond Books : Life at St. Xaviers

Placement Experience:

The students from their 3rd year become eligible for campus placement. Different companies including the Big 4 like Deloitte KPMG etc made offers in 2024-25 and the average package offered in BCOM was 4.5 LPA. I plan on sitting for the placements after i get my degree, that is if im not pursuing my articleship at the time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always want to build my career in commerce and my aim is to be a chartered accountant. So I took this course because the syllabus of CA and B.com is the same. our college faculties are so helpful. They always come forward to resolve our academic and nonacademic doubts. Their teaching methods are also good. we don't need to purchase any book, their notes are enough for our syllabus.

Goenka college of commerce and business administration is the second best college in Kolkata and the best college under Calcutta University. Hence it has a brand value. I got admission offers in SXUK, Jaipuria THK Jain and Bhawanipur college, But this was the best option I had. The admission process is through your boards marks. I got admission in Aliah University which is in New Town Kolkata I got rank 12. I applied in Shri Shikshathan College also and got admission in first list. I rejected both the colleges as Aliah University though it is a reputed college but the placement committee is not as good as Goenka College of commerce. I applied for BBA + MBA integrated program in Aliah University but I wanted to pursue BCom honours in accountancy and finance thus I rejected Aliah University. Shri shikshayatan college on the other hand is another reputed college in which I applied for bcom honours in accountancy and finance I rejected Shri shikshayatan college as no doubt Goenka College is way more better than Shree shikshayatan and Shri shikshayatan is comparatively very much expensive in comparison with goenka. Shri shikshayatan takes around 250000 tuition fee on the other hand Goenka College charges only 4090 rs for 4 years....Read More
