Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I would rate it a solid 8! This course is just very different from others. It has different but unique subjects you will even learn craft and theatre during your 1st year. It doesn't seem to have too much focus on just studies and assignments but overall development of an individual as a teacher! You will learn everything from skills to academic that is required in teaching.

Internships Opportunities

4

Every year our college hosts an internship fair. Students from each students gets opportunities to get internships, companies visit our college to take interviews. Companies like Hindustan times, LIDO, Bajaj capital, accenture etc have visited our college fir placements and internships

Placement Experience

5

The placement cell of our college is pretty active. We get updated for internships almost everyday which gets circulated among us through our groups. Every year there also happens an internship fair where company recruits people based of their CVs through interview. This fair also gives opportunities to each stream and various interests of students. At the end of the year our course provides placement opportunities among schools, mostly private schools .

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for our course is around 14000. And it changes a little by year. Our course provides internship opportunities and also school teaching experience within the course itself. For scholarships one can check on the official website of gargi college.

Campus Life

4

My Overall experience has been pretty good here. When I first entered college I didn't had much idea about anything that happens except for my classes but here 2 years after I am a part of 2 societies! Trust me involvement in societies would turn around your college life. It's very happening, you meet different people , you go out with them , sometimes go for trips and even different colleges. The library of our college is really good and peaceful although network issues are everywhere in our college except for that it is a descent college. The facilities in classrooms is there , every classroom has fans during our exams some classroom gets installed with coolers which I found amusing.

Admission

You don't need a specific stream to enter the course. During our admission it was based on our cuet score and the cutoff varied for different reservations. One needs to give CUET to become eligible for this course which happens every year. Fees of application changes every year which you can check while the form is out. Reserved seats are available in this course and varies each year depending upon the class ratio. The admission process is pretty easy since cuet exam, previously it was through an entrance test which happened for only this course

Faculty

5

The student ratio in our course can go upto 70 above since we only have 1 class per year and not sections. Even with such disbalanced ratio there doesn't seem to be any problem in teaching or interactions between the students and teachers. For subject where individual attention is required we are divided into groups with different teachers. The faculty and teachers of our course are awesome. I find my teachers really open and sweet , I can approach them without thinking much . They give best advices too! and also help us with our work. The course and subjects are built in such a way that each student gets proper interaction with teachers.

Placement Experience:

Students in B.ed course become eligible to take jobs in the last semester i.e 4th semester. The college does not provide any placement in our course instead students themself have to mail and contact different schools to secure a teching job. Average package a student can expect depends on many factors like their subjects, qualifications and skills. On an average one can expect around 6lpa in private sector. For securing jobs in government schools Students have to clear exams like DSSSB etc where average package ranges from 10 -12 lpa. Many of my seniors are doing jobs in private schools as techers while some teach online and have their you tube channels. I am planning to do masters in English literature from DU to increase my knowledge and job opportunities.
