Likes

The thing I liked the most is our huge and lush green campus.We have 3-4 gardens where you can chill and see the beauty also get your pictures clicked.The cleanliness in the campus is also maintained and the students are also very supportive
Our college offers placements mostly for bcom and eco hons so don't expect placements in regular ba or bsc courses.Also the faculty is supportive atleast most of them thou the academic pressure,assignments,project's is much more in science courses.
Maitreyi has various socities for dance,music,photography,competitive exams,entrepreneurship,Nss,Ncc etc.I would highly recommend to join any of the societies as it helps you to grow and gain confidence.We also have various sports facilities l

Dislikes

The thing i dislike is the old science block and other department areas.The classrooms there are too small and has a strength of only 25-30 students.The washroom are also too small and unhygienic with few having only one washroom.
One of the major problems is the water tanks they are too much less in numbers and you have to cover a large distance to get water and mostly its not even cold.The present time canteen is very good hygienic and serves tasty food with many options.

Course Curriculum Overview

What made me choose this course is that it deals with not one but three subjects that is Botany,Zoology and Chemistry.Also one advantage of this course is we can pursue our post graduation in any of these subjects.The curriculum is decent we have 3 labs a week having 4hr duration and it actually helps a lot to learn.The teaching methods of some teachers are good they even take you on field or show you equipments that are required.The area of improvement is that they put so much emphasis on assignments and files which feels unnecessary.The exams happen in dec-jan and may-june and the difficulty level is moderate if you do pyqs you can solve half of the paper so that's not an issue.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 14880 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is 14880 and it depends from course to course but it doesn't exceed than 20000 as far as I know.You just have to pay examination fees every semester that also depends on the subjects you choose and is generally under 2000.There are also scholarships available for Obc,ews,sc,st. There are several internships provided by the college also and others.I have taken part in many events and societies like Nss.

Campus Life

The overall campus life is decent and many events and function happen throughout the year.The Annual cultural fest RHAPSODY happen in February and is a 2 day event comprising various stalls of food games and shopping.There are various societies according to one's interest and you can indulge in them to grow and enhance your college life.

Admission

The admission is based on CUET conducted by NTA.The eligibility for this course is Physics,Chem,Bio and one language among English/Hindi. The difficulty level of cuet depends on paper to paper and shift to shift.

Faculty

The Faculty to student ratio depends on the course also.The highest department is BA prog then Life sciences having more than 60 students while some like zoology hons has only 30 so it depends. The Faculties are well qualified and most of them help you if you approach them out.Though some are not that cooperative but you will get through it.The teachers are quite approachable you will find them in their respective department rooms or you can just call them or leave a message in the class group most of them reply on time.

The Life at Ramjas College.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested course. It's relevant to the exams in that particular field. The syllabus for life and other exams in this field. I think that there is a lack of actual real life practice in basic courses. If could be made more aligned to what we do in real life it would have been better. The exams are easy enough to pass by just studying one month before exams and submitting the internal assessments properly. There are end semester exams which gives enough time to prepare well.

Placement Experience:

We have an active placement cell in the college. Students are eligible for placement in 6th Semester. there are quite a lot of companies that offer jobs and we do get a decent average package. I plan on pursuing master's degree after this.

Aryabhatta College (Delhi University), a new but hustling place

Course Curriculum Overview:

i believe CS hons is a decent course. The curriculum is however, very outdated. We are being taught several topics that have no relevance these days and they arent even taught properly. I believe a far better choice would be doing BTech instead since it has a better course and companies prefer that over BSc CS. In terms of preparing for the real world, i believe this course has no use since the most important parts we have to learn it ourselves. Exams are conducted once at the end of every semester (including practical and theory). However during the semesters, there are multiple tests taken to asses our knowledge regularly

It is a place to develop yourself.

Placement Experience:

I think from 3 year 5th semester students are eligible for the placement. Companies that comes are Deloitte,ibm etc. i have not too much knowledge about that but i think the median package is 4-5 lakh per annum and highest is 10 lakh. My want to become more professional and become capable to buy anything of my interest.

I chose this course because statistics is a rising field and is used everywhere . Also l had a good command on Statistics and maths in 12th standard. I believe that this course is really very relevant for today's world but could be made a bit more practical to be applied in real world situations.

I have applied to aryabhatta College before Maitreyi College for Women. So comparison to this college Maitreyi colleges stands out on various aspects:- Before 2024 the admission process is entirely dependent on merit list and the cutoffs.
