I basically choosed a program within the Department of Applied Geology, i.e the M.sc tech in applied Geophysics course which I had choosed because of its uniqness and for its job aspects and research aspect which is quite good in the field of Oil and gas Industries, The curriculum prepared well with various mentorship from different universities and which make us learn well about day to day application in the Geophysics field , it also introduce various programming languages which is quite helpful for various aspect in life The course is basically divided into 6th semester each semester is of 6 months and the the course duration is 3 years

In case of the Geology and the Geophysics course it have a wide range of intership opportunities in the PSU like OIL and ONGC and other private oil and gas industries which basically provides a internship in the role of Geologist and Geophysicst accordingly

The fee structure of the program , M.sc tech in Applied Geophysics , is basically a self financed course where the course fee is about 30000 rupees per semeste. Since it is a 3 year course therefore the total cost it takes is 1,90000 rupees . Along with it it also give us various scholarships from the University itself and ONGC as a stipend

The campus is fully eco-friendly and have a fully academic environment for students, with a technical and annual festivals held without any loss of academic schedule, the institute also have a technically high end Library where it provides a very wide range of books and jouranls in online and offline mode Every classrooms are well equipped with digital board and a projector, It also supports a wide range of sports and provides a well equipped gymnasium, indoor stadium , tennis court , basketball court , football field and a day/night field stadium

The course is basically available for Admission after clearing an entrance exam , which is organised by University itself which is basically held on various districts of Assam , by clearing that examination someone is approved to take admission in the course , The form fillup and the application fees are takes place fully online which can be easily accessible from the official website of the university The timing of the examination is basically in the month of June and July , and the examination held once a year

The teachers are very well educated and the faculty to students ratio is about 22/8 which is quite good for a semester, the faculty are well equipped with the laptops and digital board in the class which helps the students with better understanding, the teachers are easily approachable 24/7 in online mode and they are very responsive
