Likes
- It has many co curriculum activities, which keeps my mind distracted for a bit from studies.
- The laboratory has almost all the equipments required for a master of biotechnology student.
- I like the friends I got here. They are all hardworking and supportive.
Dislikes
- As there are many co curricular activities the time for studies also gets reduced.
- The teachers are rude and literally they hate u for no reason. Even you work hard they will still target and will make you feel so down of yourself.
- Also many teachers don't take class and at last blame us for not learning.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum provided to us I very nice and best for us but the problem is it's too much for a student to manage. Still having too many problems altogether helps us grow. I would like to manage the time and the teachers not completing e their works and giving all the tasks at last moments.
Internships Opportunities
I don't know about the companies and roles offered but have heard that from my department many senior have become proffessors , phd scholars and got different government jobs. And few have gone foreign for studies
Fees and Financial Aid
My first year fees for both the 1st and 2nd sem was 26000 excluding the examination fees. And for the 2nd year I paid around 25500 which is for 3rd and 4th sem. The tution fees, admission fees, lab fees, is 10,710, 3225, 8000. For SC/ST the fees was waived and they had to pay 1200 only. Also there are various scholarships Like NSP, and single girl child etc.
Campus Life
There are many festivals included in our yearly calendar like from January magh Bihu, republic day, then in April Bohag Bihu, and many Thulunga festival, Bodo literary day Varsity week etc. The library is good and filled with books. Classroom is modernised with smart board and AC. The campus has Football, Cricket, Basketball, Badminton, Volleyball and all the indoor sports.
Admission
I was not sure about going for masters or not and as this university was in my locality my father told me to apply for it so I did and cleared with good grades and due to family issues I had to stay home
Faculty
As there are 30 students in my class and the teacher are just 7. I won't mention the names here but I like our hod sir he is kindof inspirational. But I hate my mentor he just hold grudges against and will just frame me bad in everyone's eyes he make my life tough and horrible. There are 2 seesionals take in each sem and a final exam. Many students pass with good marks but still 3 or 4 of them have back papers
Night Life
As I don't stay in hostel so I don't know much about the night life there but I have herad its fun and walking in the campus is safe. The gym is open but I don't know the timings and the cafeteria has good food
