Course Curriculum Overview

The phD course curriculum is standardised as per PCI across India, and the criteria to take admission were based on the quality of faculty and the laboratory facilities. Exam frequency is after one year of admission, we have to give a coursework exam and have to present six six-monthly reports every six months after that.

Internships Opportunities

Not applicable as there are no internships in this PHD programme. Students are eligible to take an internship under various programmes like B. Pharm, BBA, B.Tech, etc. in companies like OIL, BPCL, HPLC.

1. Placement is N/A for PHD students. 2. For other courses in the last year of the course, students are eligible for placement. 3. Highest package 80000/ per month, Average package - 30000/- 4. Placement percentage - 92% 5. I shall go for a postdoc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The PhD in Pharmaceutical Science at Dibrugarh University has a modest and uniform fee structure applicable to all students, regardless of category (General, OBC, SC, ST or management quota). At the time of admission, students must pay a one-time course registration fee of 5000/-, a one-time coursework fee of 5000/-, and a one-time library fee of 1800/-. In addition to these, a monthly tuition fee of 400/- is charged, amounting to 4800/- per year. There are no other fees like a caution fee, a development fee, or a lab fee. The total course fee remains very affordable and has not increased in recent years. Full-time scholars are eligible for a monthly stipend of 8000/-, which provides significant financial support. SC/ST category students are eligible for a scholarship under the government. scheme, and all scholars get a stipend from various governments. bodies like CSIR, UGC, AICTE, DST, etc., in terms of project funding.

Campus Life

I am a part-time scholar, so I am not fully involved in any activities. But universities do have student union groups and election is conducted on a regular basis, and the winning party do work for the development of the university.

Admission

I did not apply in any other college as I was pretty sure that I would take admission in Dibrugarh University only. I chose this college because of the faculty profile and the laboratory facilities, along with NBA, NIRF and NAAC affiliation.

1. Faculty student ratio for PHD programme in pharmaceutical science is 1:3 2. All faculties are the best as all are selected there with high competition. 3. All are exceptionally good. 4. For the PhD programme, one coursework exam is there, which is moderate in difficulty.

Interview Experience

During admission, I have to go through a written examination based on MCQ and descriptive QS of a total of 100 marks. After that, a personal round interview was conducted. For admission, we need to apply through the university website once the notification is out for admission. Then, based on the profile admit card will be issued. I have gone through my bachelor's and master's syllabi to clear the rounds.

Night Life

Nightlife is great. The gym is there. The library is open till 10:30 PM. University gate remains open 24*,7 but permission is needed from security personnel to go in and out. The university park, canteen and other food stall are available inside campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course of pharmacy is good we can know about many things about medicines. And I thought a pharmacists have knowledge of 50% of normal MMBs course .Also we have to study very hard in this course to became the best. And we cannot thought of wasting time in this course as we should know about many things. And overall the course is very interesting and very informative. It preciously describe about what happened in patient's body after the medicines are gone inside a human stomach and how can we make organic or homemade drug by using different parts of plants ????. And lastly i would say that it's interesting to become a pharmicsts but in people's mind it's actually not worth looking for it and 90% of the people don't chose pharmacy course but because they have no choice that's why they are there in that.
