Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My course is chemistry Honors and it is a bit theoretical and practical subject but less of a earning subject because we do not get placements directly after Bachelors in Sciences specially fields like chemistry, So a long future waits ahead. One needs to pursue higher education. But chemistry subject is very interesting and easy at the same time I would recommend everyone here that all the courses of Hansraj College are very well. We have internal exams, laboratory exams(practical's) and file and assignment submission and external(final) exams in a semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

This college comes under the University of Delhi which is a government funded institution for education as well as the other essentials that is present in the college like stationery or canteen gives everything at a subsidized rate and the infrastructure and the maintenance of classrooms as well as the environment inside the college demands some of the money from this students but that to for 1 year of my course chemistry Honors in Bachelors of science I had to pay only and amount of around 27000. Here, you can get plenty of scholarships like Dell, Aspire scholarship, unacademy, etc. Provided you should be studying and getting good grades.

Campus Life

4

The overall experience in the campus of Delhi University specially the North Campus where all the cluster of colleges that is around 10 to 12 are segregated in a same area where you will find only students over the whole town name University Enclave. The library timings of each college is still 8:00 PM, in the evening one can easily pursue education silently in moderate climate maintained by an air conditioner without any disturbance. The social life becomes very much interesting with lot of friends and acquaintances that is being made in day to day life. Also, elections are being held annually with many society is preparing for every extra curricular activities along with sports as well as gym and Physiotherapy facilities. These all over build the personality of individual.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel is the best part that I liked and loved very much. It gives you a family whole bunch of people whom you can trust whom you can spend time with and study with also the quality of Hansraj hostel mess is pretty much good but you wouldn't get non veg here rest this is a very nice meal spot one could get to eat. The fees for hostel annually is around 1 lakh rupees. The PGs and other accommodation facilities like the flat or single rented room would cost much nearby the hostel but if you would be willing to travel 1 or 2 km you could even save more.

Admission

The admission process was a little Complex but all its information can be found on the official site of Delhi University. High School around 463 out of 600 as only physics chemistry and math's marks are added while preparing the merit list. The application form would be available on the DU portal also reservation benefits are provided given that you have a certified character certificate. The frequency and timings of exam in DU is a little weird as we have our semester exams one in the hottest time that is May of Delhi while once in December-January with the coldest time in Delhi both the weathers have extreme climate.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is very good over here and the faculty to student ratio is about 50. The faculty over here is well qualified and every teacher has very high educational qualification such as the doctor of philosophy or PHD. Not only they teach basic lessons and principles here but also give life experiences and very vast knowledge. They are available most of the time that is around 7 to 8 hours in the college and most of them live here in the staff quarter so a personal connection is built.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think the BSc Statistics (H) offered by Sri Venkateshwara College has been quite relevant and comprehensive in content. The core courses such as probability, inference, regression, and econometrics were the major reasons for opting for the subject of statistics. It provides us in-depth analytical training that is necessary for higher education and work in the field of data, though there is a need for exposure to software/tools as well. The semester-wise examination, which is moderately tough

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Hindu College, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Jan 6, 2026(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented
