The freedom which I got from the university

Infrastructure is really poor compare to other tier 1 University colleges

Course Curriculum Overview

Look in general I got the Department by Counseling only But yes I do have enthu to join the food technology department What good about the department it is the oldest food technology department in India even before the IIT KGP. The syllabus which we were taught was preety good actualy some areas of the course are exact same from the industry. But yes the curriculum was lack in food safety studies

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 2500 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are Various internship opportunities available specially for the CSE IT students even Google Amazon hire here. The faculties from each department are too good they help a student from the heart and soul for the students to give them atleast one Internship opportunitie.

Placement Experience

From 2nd year 2 nd sem the students are eligible for campusing by cracking a screening test for IT fields The highest package in my year it was 1.5 cr I got a preety decent job from campus placement. The avg package for each dept was 5 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure for 4 year course is near about 10k including tuition fees But for the semester there are Form fill up fees which is 10 rs each of a paper in that particular semester SVMCM are there for the WB domicile students I got my one year fees back which was 2500 from student freeship scheme

Campus Life

There are various clubs like ECell, Mountaineering Club ,Fishing Club, Photography Club, and many more and they are all pro active There was a huge Central Library and all the departments have there own Library The main cultural festival name is Sanskriti it was same for the all 3 faculties in the university,There is UTurn which is basically for the freshers students and it is a sport event there is Arena which is also a sport event

Admission

The Eligibility it was 12 th PCM for WBJEE and Diploma in any Subject for WBJELET There was 3 entrance exam for entering into the Engineering curriculum in the university 1.WBJEE for the 12 th science students 2. WBJELET for the Diploma Candidates 3. And there was another university entrance exam for entering into the 5 years evening engineering course which was also for the Diploma Candidates

Faculty

Faculty to student ratio at my time that was 1:5 They are all Doctorate in Food Technology and Bio Chemical field Professors are like family They are like they act as the guardians of a house. Not only the professors but the lab assistants librarian and all other supporting stuffs are too much helpful to the students

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
