I was inclined towards computer science due to placement guarantees. There are total 8 semester exams in this course and two mid sem in each semester. There are various industrial visit arranged for us

In the early 7th sem, the students become eligible for placements. there are various companies like Autodesk, Microsoft, Adobe ,etc visited our college.The highest package offered is 40 lakh in our batch.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tuition fees of BTech is around 4 Lakh which is quite affordable in respect to other three tier colleges. Each semester you have to pay around 50k. The hostel fees are not included. The hostel fees range around 1 lakh per year. There is a scholarship names CGC Josh

Campus Life

It is a great. You can interact with seniors and juniors. There are various clubs and communities organised by both seniors and juniors. It uplifts the student to explore different extra curricular activities

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is normal. Security is highly maintained. Curfew is applied. Wardens are strict about timings. Shops and restaurants and assesories shops are already present in the campus. Students are provided comfort

Admission

You must have 67% above in 12 th boards. JEE rank is not necessary. But if you have then it's great. You can find the application form in the official college website. You can reserve the sets beforehand.

There is a great number of teachers. Even sometimes we feel there are equal number of teachers as well as students. The teachers are highly active and really peculiar about attendance. You have to attend all the classes from morning to evening. Teachers are really friendly and helping. Always ready to answer your queries and help you.

Interview Experience

There are no peculiar Group DIscussions, Interview of Written Test. You just have to reserve your seat before hand. If not, they will still take you but the seat must be available. There was a scholarship round called CGC Josh.

The curriculum changes as per the need of the industry norms so that student can attain knowledge about the basics as well as the niche technologies.This is the aspect to choose the course and the lab work and continuous competitions help us with the industry trends. Placement Experience:

Only skilled or quality are able to get placed. Usually onwards 6th or 7 th semester, students can be eligible depending on the performances. I can do a job if I like to work there. If not, I will do more internships to get hands on experience.

Placements are really great of our college as its avg pakage is of 11 lac from computer related branches. Girls are eligible in second year for inters and for boys its generally from 3rd year because of the reservations.

Chandigarh University: Is it worth the investment?

Placement Experience:

The student become eligible for campus placements from 5th semester. The companies visited per year are approximately 200. They claim 100% placements but in reality they divide students into placement and non- placement batches called tpp and ntpp. If you slip up even once, you will be debarred from the tpp group. The highest package is 53 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. Companies like JP Morgan, TCS, Capgemini, PlaySimple, Cognizant, Nokia, Philips, Morgan Stanley, PWC, KPMG, EPAM, Watchguard, High radius, OYO, Coding Ninjas, Samsung, etc have already came. More companies are yet to come. Since the student intake is too much, placements are really hard to get since there is too much competition. In the end, people get hired in mass recruitment companies and get minimum pay of 3-4 lpa. My plans are apply for off-campus jobs and start working in corporate after the degree. If I don't get a job, I haven't decided what I will do next.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good but I am more looking towards offcampus placements. I will do internships from my second year and in first year I'll make the base. I contacted to some of the seniors they said doing hardwork will definitely lead to a good package.

Placement Experience:

After 4 semester students are eligible for sitting in placements. There are alot of company visiting and alot of them take 2-3 with really good package and some handful with good enough packages of nearly10 lpa and the highest package was i think of in last month was of around 60 lpa . My plans after getting a degree is too work my way through companies to a FAANG Companies
