Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is upto the mark. My curriculum was not limited to Botany only I studied other subjects too like Molecular Biology, Genetics, Microbiology, and subjects like Intellectual Property Rights and Mushroom cultivation in my skill enhancement course. So the curriculum was diversified. I would say that the diversity of curriculum will help if you want to pursue masters in life science or chemistry or other related field like genetics, mol biology. Exams are not that hard one just need to go through the previous year question papers to clear it . Analayse the previous year questions, notice the repeating trend and prepare accordingly. However the syllabus is diversified but not too vast that it could not be covered with ease.
Fees and Financial Aid
Financial Aids are provided at college level. Like you would prove your financial income and if it fills the criteria you will be getting a fee reduction as the financial aid from the college. My course is affordable and it studying Botany hons from KMC will cost you approximately 30,000 in the 3 years.
Campus Life
We have different societies and each society have different annual fest. Societies like DebSoc, NSS, NCC, Bhoomisapiens, etc. In addition to the departmental annual fest, cultural fest of the societies and college too is organised. The socities provide a good exposure to the Students. The annual cultural fest of KMC is Renaissance.
Admission
The admission process is simple and not too complex. You could find all the details regarding admission procedure on the DU website. The criteria of reservation is also uploaded. Reservation is given to SC, ST, OBC, PwD, EWS and kashmiri migrants candidates. They need to get their documents updated for that. The document verification procedure too is user friendly and won't take too much time.
Faculty
In my batch, there were total of 40 students and 10 teachers. So i guess faculty to student ratio was quite decent. The faculty, both teaching and non teaching staff was very cooperative and helpful. They were great mentors and we could interact with them at much ease.
