Which DU college should I opt SVC or KMC for B.Sc. Hons. Botany?

Both colleges have their fair share of similarities and dissimilarities. Let me provide some facts about both of them, analyzing which you can move ahead with your decision. Both the colleges are excellent in their own way. The infrastructure of Science blocks is very good in both the colleges. Both colleges have diverse cultural societies. Players -The Dramatics Society of KMC, is one of the best in DU All colleges of DU have similar faculty. Some of them are exceptionally good, while others are average. KMC, being almost in the centre of North Campus, has its own perks. It is said to have better placements than South Campus colleges. The laboratories in the Botany and Zoology Departments of KMC are newly built.. The student crowd of KMC, however, is not as good as that of SVC. The administration of KMC is pathetic. The hostels of KMC aren't as good as those of SVC. However, they are Renovating to make it more attractive. Therefore, you can analyze these factors and compare the colleges, see what best suits your requirements, and finally go for it.

The overview of my college life

During my admission, I paid 14990 rupees which included security charges and for my 2nd and 3rd years, I paid 12110 each year. registration fee for sc category 100 admission fee 14990 lab fee i guess 1000 security which got refunded after completion of my degree was 1000 for my other batchmates college fee was 100 more than me also, you have to pay an examination fee each semester which is around 1200 for science students because we have practicals so 400 per subject is charged (it is same for all categories) there are many scholarships and financial aids like fee concession in which they provide 2000-7000 to the students whose family total income is below 8 lacs also they took intervies for this.

KMC : Premier Institution for Excellence and Inclusivity

Financial Aids are provided at college level. Like you would prove your financial income and if it fills the criteria you will be getting a fee reduction as the financial aid from the college. My course is affordable and it studying Botany hons from KMC will cost you approximately 30,000 in the 3 years.

Fee structure is economical and it does not hike tremendously . I have completed three yr course only in less than 40k rs . There are inspire scholarship you can avail. Campus employment although less in science but it open a lot of Avenues for further studies

The fees varies from course to course , mine according to me is affordable. But there are various scholarship provided to meritorious students every year, so u can avail the benefits of it by meeting it's eligibility criteria.

KMC- One of the best place to be in.

The fees are normal, there is no major issue. It ranges from around 14-15k per year. I am not aware of any scholarships as I did not avail of any of that sort. But I think there is Financial assistance provided.

Honestly.. when you are in Delhi University which is under the central govt ... there are no fee hike issues. Trust me, only 10,000 for the whole year is worthed it. However, they also provide Scholarships and fee relaxation for the weaker sections in the society.

A very good college and having wide range of opportunities

KMC being a govt. college is very affordable and yearly fees range from Rs.10000-20000.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Highly impressed by the botany faculty, they all are highly educated, experienced, good natured, cooperative and highly knowledgeable, a well quality of teaching. Students can do M. Sc. in botany after this course to get more opportunities in this particular field.

Better

The Vice Chancellor scholarship was available for the students who were comes under the ambit of Below Poverty Line in the whole university. And have fee Consesion for obc students.it gives four thousand or three thousands rupees as Consesion.
