Course Curriculum Overview

3

so you need to have a great interest in maths , its not the numerical type maths that you studied in high school but completely different theoritical maths with lots of proofs and theorems . its not too tough but requires regular study . also the exams take place 3 to 4 months after the sem starts . the syllabus is easily covered and if you just solve the pyqs one month before exams you are good to go ( teachers are a little lenient in exams too hehe ; ).

Internships Opportunities

2.5

there is a placement cell. which is quite active but the opportunities are majorly for commerce and arts grad that is in sales and marketing . not for maths grad something like research , programming opportunities are not offered at all.

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee structure is not so much . its around 10k for yearly fees and exam fees around 1k every semester . there is some financial aid for people with income lower than 8lpa . no other such expenses are required . placement is majorly for arts and commerce grads that too of around 15k per month . so you need to work hard for off campus placement right from the start .

Campus Life

3.5

the campus life is friendly but i didnt like the crowd to be honest . the clubs teach you a lot and changes your personality for the betterment . the infrastructure needs to be improved specially ACs and auditorium

Admission

the admission process was quite simple . cut offs and fee payment . the application fees was around 1k on the DU portal . the admission process has now changed to cuet . so you need to work on that part .

Faculty

3.5

the maths faculty is pretty amazing with very experienced and qualified teachers . total professors were around 15 for 100 students . each semester professor changes for both sections and the mentorship is very friendly . you can talk to them like an elder sibling after the class . sit and eat with them . talk to them about their career and get some advices for yours .

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.

Students become eligible for placements on the 3rd year, we have decent placement opportunities but not the best, highest package is around 15 lakhs. Companies that visit are Bain and Co., Urban Clap etc. average package is around 5 lakhs. My plans after getting the degree are getting into a master's programme and pursuing research.
