Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always liked economics as a subject and I knew that the university of delhi has one of the best economics courses in the country. And hence I opted for it. The only think that I thing should improve is that they should follow more of a practical approach to teach the students

Internships Opportunities

5

We do have an internship cell that provides good internships to students starting from 1st year itself. Many companies are available in all forms of fields, some have stipend options available and some dont

Placement Experience

5

We do have campus placements available. We also have a very active placement cell called Aspire. Every year on an average 20 companies visit out campus. Highest placement is 16LPA and average 6LPA, and almost 90% students get placed. My plan is to go for my masters after I graduate.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The fee structure is very affordable for all classes, in my opinion. And there are scholarships available for extraordinary students who do good in their academics continuously. I have not taken any campus employment so far but it is available.

Campus Life

5

We have very active cultural societies and events that take place every now and then. We also have a football field and a basketball court and our sports teams are also very active and participate in competitions actively

Admission

I scored 690/800 in cuet and I got CVS, DU in the first round itself. You can fill up the DU CSAS form after your CUET scores are out. There are reservation seats in our college. DU only has end sems and no mid sems, so you get big gaps between 2 semester exams. One area that they could improve is that they can give more practical assignments rather than handwritten ones.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is alright. We get teacher's assigned quickly as soon as some teacher is on a leave or resigns. The teachers and professors are great. Well qualified and makes sure everyone in the class is attentive. The faculty is also very friendly in all regards. You can always go and talk to them.

For campus placements, students become eligible with a CGPA of 6.5-7.5 or above and after 6 sem ie third year. I have not visited any companies because of the covid situation which led to online studies. The highest package is about 12 lakhs pa and the average package around 2.5 lakhs pa with around 400 companies visiting the campus for recruitment. Around 70% of the students get placements. I would prefer to do further education and then aim at getting the job I am aiming for.
