Life at CIT

Our curriculum is regularly updated every 3-4 years once. This brings an edge of having courses which are highly in demand in the particular period. Compared to BE and Btech we directly step into our core subjects where they have to wait for a semester or 2 until they can start with their core subjects.

Placements are just at average level. I'm currently at internship period , we have to go for an mandatory internship for 6 months during our 7 and 10 semesters. Placements are good but internship drive is little dull due to the market. 15 out of 60 students got internship offer on campus.

As it is an aided college out college supports various government schemes for the students and scholarships based on the government norms. But college doesn't provide any seperate scholarship particularly.

We are having multiple active clubs in every aspects like cultural, sports, academics, art, technology etc. This keeps us engaged during the college time. Infrastructure should be definitely improved. Every department has their own flagship events. Our department had Melinea which is an national level technical symposium.

Hostel rooms are poorly built. They are too old and they don't even contain ceiling fan and has a single plug point in the whole room. 2 members can share a single room and during final year we can opt for no sharing. Food in mess isn't great but it would be manageable without any major issues.

For my course I took an entrance test. Eligibility criteria would be above 170 cut-off marks and i had 174. After this students have to write an written exam and from that they will be having face to face interview which will take place at our college.

Faculties are completely friendly and easy to approach. We have the freedom to ask any questions regarding the subject and we can also discuss our ideas with the teachers. Many students work along with faculties for research works which are really effective.
