A Honest Student from CIT

As our college is autonomous i guess due to that the syllabus are very simple and easy to study. U get plenty of time to learn the topics. Usually u will get 10 day as study holidays before the semester exam. And before each exam there will be gap of minimum 1 day.

There are many companies that offer internsips such J P Morgan , DE Shaw , Samsung and much more. They provide stipend and also takes u full time if ur performance meets their mark. They even put u in a real time project after a short training period so u can actually experience the real world.

Students are eligible for placements from the middle or end of the 6th semester. highest package last time was 58LPA and avg was about 4LPA In my Dept over 90 percentage of students got placed and avg Package they receive is about 7LPA My Goal is to get into a Dream Company that is offers above 12LPA if i didnt get that I may try off campus But by the end of my 4th year if i couldnt get a job I will preferrably go for higher studies.

Tuition Fee: 24500 for Aided and 96000 for Self dupport (SS) Exam fee per sem: 3085 Admission fee will be around 1500 Also college provides First graduation scholarships Also students studied in Govt school has no fees at all Hostel fee is 35000 per year and Mess fees is ~3200

Every year each department from our college will held a Symposium for 3 days and so it will last for about the sem. Next is the event for freshers who join in first year will have their event for 1 month. Also random festival events also promotes company founded by students by keeping stalls etc. Sports and extracurricular activities are extraordinary as each sports got a separate ground and an Open air theatre. There are numerous clubs that are soley run by the students with the help of college and a mentor who is the well wisher Regularly they do rallys campaigns etc

Hostel is usually 2 people shared room . Room has 2 chairs , 2 tables, 2 cart and a single current outlet. There will be no Fan in the room until 4th year hostel. Yeah, Each year has separate hostel to avoid Ragging. Common Bathroom and toilet which is cleaned 3 times a day. U will get hot water if u bathe early. But it is very affordable as hostel fees is about 35000 and Mess bill will be ~3200 per month. u can opt for non veg also on Tuesday , thursday , sunday Also Egg on lunch. But the taste of veg items will not be good.

Last year Closing rank cut off in TNEA was around 1300 for B E CSE Also this is the 2nd rank S tier College. I applied for B E CSE and B Tech IT in this College and i got B E CSE So to get into this college Studying in state board would be best to score cut off but foe knowledge that is used in my course are from CBSE i believe

Faculty members in my department are so friendly and very much approachable at any time. They show hospitality towards students is outstanding. They keep parents teachers meeting regularly to update the parents about the students. Exams there are the easiest and syllabus are very simple. You will have 2 Mid sem exams before SEM FOR Theory subjects and 2 CAT exams alone for lab After that u will be having main Final Sem exams. In the 1st mid sem half the portions will cover and the remaining in 2nd mid sem

After the classes we got so many places to hangout like Library with closing time of 7PM. GYM is also available till 8PM but for boys its evening and for girls it is early morning. CAMPUS closing time is 9PM but if there is a valid reason from your side they let u in irrespective of time as they are concerned for the students and their safety. Always Canteen and the food court are are famous people loves hang out there drinking tea juice ice cream and what not. Outside the campus famous are KB and RB where u can see the CIT students all the time.
