The college gym is neat and clean and most importantly free.
The admission process is easy and simple...i got my admission for b.e through my cutoff which is 94.9 in 2021..msc courses have entrance exam and it is pretty easy too.. admission process in cit is not pretty hard
Placement cell provide a lot of opportunities for the students by bringing great companies for recruitment

Dislikes

Food in hostel is not much good. sometimes it's not tasty
The hostel mess food is not very good and the mess workers are overworked and underpaid.
Hostel food.its not worth for pay and it's not good too

Friendly teachers pleasant environment good quality of education,supporting faculties, many lab classes give practical experience every one is supportive good quality of education i love this college very much its interesting and fun to learn here ..

Dislikes

There is nothing to be disliked except mess food which is ok and tasty

Placement Experience:

We are eligible for the placement in 3rd year or 6th sem .There are many companies who come for campus interview and the highest package is 70000 per month.Mostly all students get placed .Both core and IT companies are available

My college provides many lectures for us every three months
As there are many clubs in our college it is useful for everyone.

Dislikes

No culturals in our college and programs often happens in weekends.

Placement Experience:

From 6 to semester our college students are eligible for placements and student who get more that 7.5cgpa will be going for to companies campus interview. And it is not 100 percent placement for everyone.

All about CIT

Likes

We have equal ratio of girls and boys in our department.
In our batch we had good placement and our college ensured it as well.
Course outcome is very much perfectly drafted.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is not that good to be appreciated.
The transportation should be improved further.
The encouragement for co- curricular activity is lacking.

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester we are eligible for placements. We had around 300+ companies visited our college for placement. And almost we have everybody from our cse dept got placed who are free from arrears. Highest package is 40lps and average package is 8 lpa

A Honest Student from CIT

First thing is the placement which is so good that my dept B E CSE holds about 85% placement acc. to now which my get higher.
Also the Average package here is 4-5LPA which is good in my city considering other colleges
The fee structure is so good that every one can study without worrying about the fees.

Dislikes

There is no Wifi for students in hostel and campus. It is only available in LAB.
Things there not fully digitalised yet. Last year only they added a fees portal which is good.
LABS are not enough considering the number of students studying there.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the middle or end of the 6th semester. highest package last time was 58LPA and avg was about 4LPA In my Dept over 90 percentage of students got placed and avg Package they receive is about 7LPA My Goal is to get into a Dream Company that is offers above 12LPA if i didnt get that I may try off campus But by the end of my 4th year if i couldnt get a job I will preferrably go for higher studies.

Thriving at CIT

Likes

Faculties are very supportive and knowledgable.
College library functions from 9am to 7pm.
Canteen and sports facilities are there like hockey, badminton, cricket etc.

Dislikes

College infrastructure is decent but not very fancy.
No outing for girls in the first year but from second year onwards outing is allowed.

Placement Experience:

Placements are there in Coimbatore Institute of Technology. Companies visit the campus from 7th semester onwards. Top companies like Deshaw, Bosch, Toshiba, L&T and many more visit the campus. The highest package is 52 LPA and average package is around 5LPA.

The teaching facilities are amazing, extraordinary.
The infrastructure is good.... The campus has an superb environment.
They provide the placement training ....

Dislikes

Campus is too short...compared to others

Placement Experience:

Most probably from seventh semester we become eligible for campus placement.. The companies visited are amazon google bosch infosys etc... numbers of offers depend upon the skills we have.. Highest package is around 62 LPA Around 60-70 % students get placed from various departments My plans after getting this degree is to get placed in my core company

Likes

The faculty are well known and have quality
The reputation of this college is high and the alumini strength is one of the main advantages
The study environment and syllabus quality is up to the mark

Dislikes

The college has a dress code of for both boys and girls, jeans are allowed
The buldings and classrooms are old as the college stands from 1950s
The labs are sufficient for basic activities and cannot be relied for advancements

Placement Experience:

The placements are excellent in the college. The institution demands the companies for minimum package to be 5.25LPA. The average package is around 8LPA and the higest is around 30LPA. Almost all the top companies visit for placements and around 90% of the students get placed.

My review on CIT

Likes

There are lots of free spaces so that student can learn other than classes peacefully.
There is a library with over 125000 books which covers every topics and student can access every books and gain knowledge
Management give equal importance to both academics and sports

Dislikes

The campus is very huge and we need to walk long distance for some classes
There are only 2 xerox shops inside campus which is crowded most of the times
A small amount of computers are not in proper condition

Placement Experience:

For my course students are eligible for placements in the 7th sem and 10th sem.Companies like DELOITTE and EY have visited our college.The highest package is 7LPA and the average package is 4LPA.In my course there are about 93% of the students get placed with a decent LPA.My plan after the degree is to take any jobs which contribute to ML systems.

Learning phase of the life

Likes

I liked the college attitude towards learning which was never stressful
The faculties were very approachable and knowledgeable
Since there are many clubs you can develop many skills like social and leadership skills

Dislikes

The infrastructure is very old and outdated which needs renovations
The hostel food is very average and less variety of foods is provided
Dress code for girls can be liberated for girls

Placement Experience:

The placements are really very good. Around 80-100 companies opened for my department and 80% of the students got placed in the good companies. The highest package in my department is 13 lpa by oracle

My 4 Years memories

Likes

The teaching facilities there is very good
Teachers will be lienent, no one will force you to do something that you don't like
The exams there will be easy, you can easily have a 8.5CPGA, if you put efforts right before the exam too

Dislikes

The infrastructure is kinda old,they are rebuilding a lot of things right now
The food there is not upto mark, most of my friends used to eat outside
The hostel is build during the 60s period,it's super old,there won't even be ceiling fans

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester, students will be eligible for campus placements and it will last till the end of the 8th semester. Mostly everyone would get placed. Highest package for my year was 56LPA offered by DE SHAW and the average is around 5-6LPA . 112 students got offers exceeding 10LPA

Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) is a prestigious university in Tamil Nadu. It has been ranked in the top 20 Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu consistently for five years. Every year, around 150 companies visit the campus and provide 70% of students from the on-campus.
