The college gym is neat and clean and most importantly free.
The admission process is easy and simple...i got my admission for b.e through my cutoff which is 94.9 in 2021..msc courses have entrance exam and it is pretty easy too.. admission process in cit is not pretty hard
Placement cell provide a lot of opportunities for the students by bringing great companies for recruitment

Dislikes

Food in hostel is not much good. sometimes it's not tasty
The hostel mess food is not very good and the mess workers are overworked and underpaid.
Hostel food.its not worth for pay and it's not good too

Placement Experience:

The college has excellent campus placements.The eligibility to attend campus placements here is in the final year, before that we can try for internships. Famous companies visit this college and highest package more than 50 LPA. Most of the students who doesn't have backlogs or current arrears will get placed. Since it is one of the top colleges in coimbatore and is a aided college, lot of top companies visit this campus. The placement team in Coimbatore Institute of technology is also working very good to bring in more companies. Placement training is also provided to help students but that can be improved to get better equipped students. I am a mechanical engineering student and I've got placed in a core company.

About My Eden-My college-which gave me wings to soar high

Likes

Student driven clubs and the activities that gives students a boost up to their personality
Events that make so called "Introverts" to Extroverts and if not also it will let them to drive their imaginary horses

Dislikes

Lab exercises because what they give as semester practical is not been encouraged to be practiced in the laboratory sessions.it would more nice if this changes

Placement Experience:

Students from their fourth year are eligible for their campus placements.before Entering the third year they are asked to apply for internship in any of their course related firm and are encouraged to learn about real world jobs.before starting our classes we were given a induction programme in our 2nd year.There they explained about placements very detailed.Companies like microsoft and TCS were once visited and left with no offers made since they felt like students need to be more company ready in the competitive world.The Highest package provided is 52LPA by D.E Shaw and many startups provide an average of 18-20 LPA to the students who pass the criteria.the percentage of students getting placed is above 95%(approx.).My plan is to start a firm which would have three enterprises one of film production and rest of two are of Electronics.I wish i could serve people with all their need with my firm

Unraveling the Student Journey

Likes

I like the infrastructure and the campus very much.
Different fun games and knowledge based events will be conducted frequently by different clubs which I like the most.
Recently I watch 2-3 movies in the college auditorium which is a good experience.

Dislikes

I don't like the outing timing during the lockdown period.
I don't like some of the partialities shown in the college among staff and students.
I don't like the some of the lab sections and the equipments used.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course offers a well-rounded approach and covers all the basic concepts along with the well advanced concepts.The emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving and project-based learning prepares students for various career path.The frequency of exams seem reasonable and there will be a more holistic evaluation of students understanding skills.

My Journey at CIT

Likes

I liked the teaching of staff and their effortness for our future
Senoirs care for the juniors and their guiding for our future very useful
Infrastructure and course was very interesting and also joyable

Dislikes

Only few staff were showing the partiality
In rainy times,it is getting difficult to going to the college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in our college The staff and seniors will give all the details about the placements if there is no placements available then I will prepare for off-campus The highest avg package is 12LPA

A Balanced Review on Academic Excellence and Campus Dynamic

Likes

The college boasts a dedicated faculty with extensive industry experience and expertise in respective fields which I like a lot.
The campus features and the interaction with the faculties and students are too good and I like it.
The college approach in facilitating placements and boost one's career and the college is not strict . so we enjoy a lot.

Dislikes

Permission is not given to conduct various events at some time
Due to covid I attended online classes and miss my first year college life which I don't like.

Balancing Revelance and Rigor

I like the college life very much . You have a good future if u join. The overall Placement is good.
The club activites and the events conducted are too good in CIT. The college is not very strict.So I like it more
More free times are there and u develop your skills in various things. I like these most.

Dislikes

I dislike thing is I completed 3 sem in online due to covid.
So I wont involve in many clubs and other events . So I dislike it due to online classes.
Some Partiality and groupism are there .Other than all are good

Life at CIT

Likes

The classrooms were good, near and clean
The library was good ,large and it had many resources
The staffs were kind and knowledgable staffs

Dislikes

There were no proper sports grounds and maintanence
There could have been more food stalls in the college
The syllabus for some courses were outdated

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. Aroung 200 companies visit the campus. All companies provide good pakcages. The highest pacakge is about 54LPA and there are companies with lower packages. Student can opt for many companies at different package levels

Likes

Teaching ,club activities,sport activities,industrial vists
Teachers are enriched in good knowledge and are good guiders
Library , a place with enriched books and peace

Dislikes

Canteen wherein the crowd always buzzes more
Not everyone is revealing, selfish in their own terms
Friends forming groups ,there were many groups in one class

Placement Experience:

The campus placements starts at the beginning of fourth semester,mostly 90percent students placement records ,we do have a lot more companies visiting with highest package of 52 lpa,avg 6 lpa and min 3 lpa .My plan is to opt for higher studies

Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) is a prestigious university in Tamil Nadu. It has been ranked in the top 20 Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu consistently for five years. Every year, around 150 companies visit the campus and provide 70% of students from the on-campus.
