The college gym is neat and clean and most importantly free.
The admission process is easy and simple...i got my admission for b.e through my cutoff which is 94.9 in 2021..msc courses have entrance exam and it is pretty easy too.. admission process in cit is not pretty hard
Placement cell provide a lot of opportunities for the students by bringing great companies for recruitment

Dislikes

Food in hostel is not much good. sometimes it's not tasty
The hostel mess food is not very good and the mess workers are overworked and underpaid.
Hostel food.its not worth for pay and it's not good too

Likes

Think I like the food this college is freedom with you not like other private colleges we don't give the students that freedom they want
The non veg be providing in the message quite impressive compared to other colleges
The hostel warden of this college we are very helpful and sweet

Dislikes

Faculties the lab in charges and assistant for the one I hated the most they are like they don't know the subject mostly and the own team and teach you clearly
Official authorities of the college like principal and using the power in a bad manner
The normal food they provide in college miss other than the non veg which day charge extra

Placement Experience:

The placements here have similar to Anna university because they provide high value companies like high market cap companies that are already big in the social network. Companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, L&T which is Larsen and turbo , the same government like big companies are coming in our college nowadays

CIT - An Outlook

Likes

The atmosphere around the campus is well advanced.
The infrastructure is well designed, and the block is newly built.
The placement assurance is better for this course students.

Dislikes

There is no proper ventilation provided in some of the classes.
The ratio between boys and girls is equally divided.
The hostel is not far much better for hostellites.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was influenced by my seniors in my school and they suggested this course to me. They also said that this course is highly recommended, because this course will be bloomed in the future aspects in companies.

An honest feedback of a second year student

Likes

The way of teaching is very comfortable for me.
Main teaching method is through ppt which helps very much in understanding concepts.
The college makes us to attend workshops, webinars, hackathons, internships, etc

Dislikes

The infrastructure of the main building is very poor. The building is very old and definitely needs renovation
The chemistry lab is very old and the apparatus are in very poor condition
There are only single seater chairs in the college. It is very uncomfortable to sit and to take notes. Normal benches would've been better

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for campus placements from 3rd year in the month of October. For chemical engineering, Asian paints, PETRONAS are some companies I remember. Last year 12companies visited and 20offers were made. Highest package: 12LPA and Average package: 6LPA. Students with no standing arrears are mandatory for placements and some companies want candidates with no history of arrears. Percentage of students getting placed is around 15%. I currently do not have any plans

Ambience is quite friendly and easy to learn
Lineant Rules in terms of students interaction
Course curriculum are up to date and useful for placements

The labs in the college are not airconditioned
The classrooms may or may not be up to date maintained

CIT- A good place to become a good engineer

Likes

Good faculty with good knowledge on Technical domains
Provided good placement opportunities for students
Many clubs to explore and enhance our extracurricular skills

Dislikes

Boys hostel for the first 3 years can be improved infrastructure wise
The college can be lenient in the dress code for boys and girls
The hostel food can be standardized well .

Placement Experience:

In the 6th semester itself companies like Zoho, De shaw will come for summer internship opportunities and conduct their drive students clearing that will be getting internship opportunities. If they perform well during internship they will be converted to full time. The placement will start from the final year (7th semester) nearly 120+ companies will come for placement

Life at CIT

Likes

The first thing that i love about this college is the freedom. No pressures and strict rules.
Teaching would be great if you are interested and ready to take actions. The faculties will be ready help if you have the efforts.
Environment is great with much greenery around the college. This is the major part as i love to roam around the campus.

Dislikes

Infrastructure should be improved and buildings are not maintained properly.
Hostel gate timings became very strict in recent days (8 pm) which is very uncomfortable for us.

Placement Experience:

Placements are just at average level. I'm currently at internship period , we have to go for an mandatory internship for 6 months during our 7 and 10 semesters. Placements are good but internship drive is little dull due to the market. 15 out of 60 students got internship offer on campus.

I love being with the experienced faculties. The faculties those who teach us here have atleast 8 yrs of experience.
Our campus is equipped with modern facilities, libraries, laboratories and many more.
Our college has it's own placement cell where it assists the students in securing job and internships.

Dislikes

I disliked the infrastructure slightly. Because it looks like being overcrowded and we experience it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was deeply thinking that I should only choose a core subject. And I just didn't want to enter into the computer side, so I chose EEE. And the practical and technical knowledge we gain is very useful for our future. The course syllabus is designed in such a way that we can get into whatever field we want. Like, for example, we can go to Computer side jobs, IT, Electrical, Electronics, and communication.

Provides a lot of freedom for the students to get involved in various extra curricular activities
Placement cell provide a lot of opportunities for the students by bringing great companies for recruitment
Most of the clubs are maintained and managed by students

Dislikes

Course structure is poor and fee is too high for these structures
Staff are not equipped with latest technologies
Forcing the students to make thesis on irrelevant topics

Placement Experience:

CIT offers a good set of companies for the students, but lagging in equipping the students in terms of the requirements There is politics between the MScs and BEs and college tend to support BE students though we are the one to pay a fortune for an outdated course

Placement is good.Its pretty good for the average students also
Events .The college events conducted by the various clubs
Allowing students to participate in extra curricular activities with full support

Hostel food.its not worth for pay and it's not good too
Cultural.The college is not supposed to conduct cultural events.Its not as expected
One credit courses. college provide one credit courses like tamil which are not likely in use for us.its not good for our time

Placement Experience:

Placement are the only hope for college (funny don't be serious) . Placements are pretty good.In our college the placement are open for college students studying in 6th semester and in the final year.In our college placement are open to those who have admire that they rely on College placement some might try for off campus interview.Big tech companies like intel ,Dshaw,Zoho etc visited our college.about 70 of our department students got placed.

Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) is a prestigious university in Tamil Nadu. It has been ranked in the top 20 Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu consistently for five years. Every year, around 150 companies visit the campus and provide 70% of students from the on-campus.
