Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is too outdated, and lack the knowledge of latest technologies, and have to implement further more practical classes so that the students would get an idea of what they are trying to learn

Internships Opportunities

4

Since the placements cells are handled by students they have a network with the alumnis and would have a lot of start-ups which would offer internship to the students I was placed a s a product developer intern in a startup called Soulocal which helped me in growing both technical and non technical wise

Placement Experience

3.5

CIT offers a good set of companies for the students, but lagging in equipping the students in terms of the requirements There is politics between the MScs and BEs and college tend to support BE students though we are the one to pay a fortune for an outdated course

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure - per sem it would around 65000 And each sem has its own Exam fee pricing around 5 k Placements- has tighed up with a lot good MNCs but the students have to equip themselves inorder to get placed the course structure doesn't help in anyway

Campus Life

4

CIT is an old college do most of the buildings are old Boys hostel is the oldest building CIT offers a lot of club activities, encouraging the students to participate in a lot of cultural events CITs student portal is the wordt webpage ever built by anyone crashes often especially during fee payment or results

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostels are worst with old rooms which actually look likes a mansion and dirty Hostel food is not great at all , it took nearly 1 year for us to adapt to the hostel environment and food Hostel food is cooked with poor maintainance and poor cooking experience

Admission

For Admission the college conducts a written test and interview, the course will be allotted based on the aggregate marks of our public exams and entrance exams having JEE percentile would be a add on And should have scored 75%in main subject in public exam Application is available on cit.edu.in and in offline too

Faculty

3

HOD is un approachable, being too strict and doesn't allow any opinions from students. Faculty members are easy to approach byt they would never have the answers for our questions let it be technical or non technical

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose bsc computer science because I'm interested in IT jobs and want become a developer. The syllabus is useful for real world learning and it covers important basics. i found subjects like c programming very helpful for understanding core concepts. the curriculum is decent but it needs more practical sessions and better lab facilities. the software and systems in the lab should also be updated. we follow a semester system, and the exams test both theory and practical knowledge. overall the course is good, but more hands on training would make it even better.
