Course Curriculum Overview

As a IT 4th year student of my college,I suggest my younger brother to take admission in IT branch because of faculty members.they are very supportive.Not much pressure for students they can handle engineering smoothly with extra activities.they can participate any event without hesitation

Internships Opportunities

Talking about internship, here not much paid internship opportunity.you have to apply off campus for that.But college have a bat programme in which students participate for extra subject skill with certificate.it was like training program

Placement Experience

Placement scenerio of IT department is about 80% percent on campus.lots of mass hiring companies visited our college like Tcs, Cognizant, Accenture and LTI.so they hire approx 60 students so placement is pretty good.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I take admission in college in they year 2020 the fee is about 4lacs But now the fee is approx 650000 for 4 year. So fees is little increases. In college fees of 650000 all the things are included it is only tuition fees.if you want to live here you have to take Pg or flat with your friends.

Campus Life

Here all the department have their own Departmental fest,like IT fest name is Inceptra. And also Once in a year a fest name Mesmrizer happen ,it is very big fest of our college .I am a club president of Eco cultural group which hosted the fest. So I am very active in the club and fest as well

Admission

I take admission through my wbjee rank.here you can take admission from Jee and Wbjee both.but for jee mains only 10% seats are there.west bengal board of counciling take responsibility for counciling. My rank was about 10k so i take IT here.

Faculty

Faculties of IT department is well educated and trained .they are very supportive in nature.if you want take leave for preparation of any particular course they are inviting you for that. One my teacher have own book on Data Structures and Algorithms.

Placement Experience:

From 4th year students become eligible for placements.Google, Microsoft,Gold Man Sacks, Apple were some of the companies that visited NIT Durgapur For placement regard.The highest package was 80lpa and the average package was 13 lpa.Total of 83% students got placed.The placement is quite good.

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

My experience about techno

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Elegibility for placement-Generally students become elligible for campus placement in their 7th semester or 8th semester and there might be some prerequisties such as minimum CGPA must be 6-7 with no bachlogs Internship and pre-placement offers-many companies offer internships during the 6th semester or 7th semester and successful interns may receive pre-placement offers if their performance is good. Companies that visits campus: TCS Accenture Cognizent Infosys Wipro Capgemini Deloite Byjus Tech Mahindra Placement Percentage-On average 80%-90% of students may secure jobs through campus placements.However this numbers could vary across different departments and specialization Highest and average package-The highest salary offered at Techno India University was 24 LPA and the average salary was 4-5 LPA. Plans after getting the degree: My plans depends on placement.If I get a job of around 15 LPA then I will not do master degree and if I get job of around 4-5 LPA then I will do master for further great opportunities

Things you should know before taking admission in NSEC

Others college which i got confirmed is RIT /quantum and haridwar university but i didn't go there because it was very far from my hometown and placement wasn't that much good as compared to my current college. I have given the west bengal joint entrance exam(wbjee) and through it the nsec college was allotted to me through counselling process. When the result declared, you have to apply for counselling and put your choice of colleges with rank. Every round you will be allotted college according to your result rank. Passing out in 2025, have seen a old place in 2021, to a new college in 2025, rennovated

I had a senior in my locality, 2019 passout, following whom I joined NSEC. I still admire and thank him for guiding me while joining NSEC. While admission I didint face any kind of interview. I had got a rank in WBJEE, and during the first counselling round, I selected NSEC, got NSEC, and finalized it by paying the first semester fees. I wasnt rejected by any college, as I went ahead with my first option. The counselling round at college isnt anything special, just a question whether or not we would be able to bear the college fees, as all comes down to money.
