Dislikes

Fees structure is quite high and it is the only think I dislike about this university

Course Curriculum Overview

This course of M.Sc physics brought so many opportunities in my life and my friends life. The exams are divided into two parts MST and EST. MST includes quiz, assignments, class test . The curriculum really prepares us for the real life applicaations

Internships Opportunities

Internships like summer internships , poster presentation are organized there ..summer internships are available at no cost ..the different different faculty provides different. Subject material for internship and then proper research is being done

Placement Experience

Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft etc visited our college .and 96% students actually got placed during that time. I don't want to go to a company so I am a tutor now. The average package they provided was 12 lakhs per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of education there is really high..i spent around 6 lakhs in two years. The only drawback here is the fees factor. scholarships are available for brilliant students who perform well in academics.

Campus Life

Many technical festivals wer organized every year in the university. Food fest, saturnalia etc. many different cultural societies organize all this . The books in library are alot every type of book is accessible there

Hostel Facilities

The hostel here is divided into different categories.. you can opt for single seater, double seater, 3 seater and4 seater room..the hostels f.ess food is just amazing..laundary service is also provided there

Admission

The admission process was easy actually..just fill out the form and they will call everyone for counselling..you will be selected on the basis of your marks in graduation. The thapar University site link provides all the important information regarding admissions

Faculty

The staff is highly experienced ..teachers are very easy to approach .you can meet them in their cabins..You can call them if u need help. They are the biggest support system. The faculty to student ratio is 1:20 which is quite fine.

Punjabi University | M.sc physics

Thapar University is far better than Punjabi University in terms of infrastructure, environment, opportunities

Placement Experience:

It is research based university which manily focus on research so placements is not that empresive mainly students goes for higher studies after completing. Some department like computer science and pharma department give placement of average pakage 4 LPA. Probably I will go for higher studies.

In this we get brief information of computer science and more options of placement. Curriculum is based on all computer and to obvious reasons it relate to real-world as well as virtual. To my accord teachers must pay attention to practical work not to just completing syllabus and writing theories. The timing and difficulty level of exams are good. Again it's depend upon the subjects chosen.

Placement Experience:

Last year of course we are eligible for placement. Many Pharmaceutical companies like Akums Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Indswift Ltd, jubilant, SRF Ltd., etc. As well as many Institutions like Akash, Buyjus, etc. also visit our university to provide jobs to the students. The average annual price of the package is 3-7 lakhs which will vary from department to department. An average percentage of around 60% would be eligible to appear in the interview but the further process depends on the placement committee. I will do P.hD. after completion of my course.

Best Emerging Private University in North

Remarks:

Management is very good and they always work to give best environment for students. The campus is also very large. Transport facility is also 24×7. Cafeteria and eating joints are also inside the campus. Till now its very pleasant to be a part of this college. I have got to learn many new things about myself.

Honest is the best Policy

I was getting addmission in some other private colleges but this was near to me and had a great rew.. Its infra and hostels are really worth it. I had a really nice percentile of 98.9 in jee mains but what happend is i intentionally wanted to score 69 in boards i didnt know about the 75 percent jee mains criteria i got 69.7 i like to call it 69.69 but i messed up so i applied in vit as well and srm and thapar i got in all of them after giving there respective tests on the same fees but i chose thapar was better after some consultation with my relatives who are in this field and know people in this field i got admission in the end on basis on jee only in thapar and the experience is well...Read More

Bits Pilani was the other college that I applied for but in there entrance exam I didn't score enough to get a branch of my liking.
