Course Curriculum Overview
Somehow course curriculum is very justified and process of changing curriculum is very smooth. They really helps in future related technologies. If we talk about exams, exams occur twice in a semester i.e. MST and EST. Which are very justified.
Internships Opportunities
There are research internships provided the college professors itself. And they also call companies for internships like jindal steel and reliance for mechanical department. They also provide noc for self finded internship
Placement Experience
Placmets are good at thapar but due to some recession this year the number of placement of students is quite bad. Major companies come for mechatronics are Maruti Honeywell Volvo Anand. But placement for cse and electronics branch are good
Fees and Financial Aid
Thapar is quite expensive. But course fees is around 200000 per semester. And hostel and message fess is around 80000 per sem. Scholarships are given to the toppers of the class. And financial aid is given to the backward class students and students who have lost their parents
Campus Life
College has wide variety of societies in luding tech and non tech. It is good to join the societies which helps you to increase your links and makes you popular in college. However there are some cons also that there are some budget related issues in every society
Hostel Facilities
Ther are both AC and non AC rooms available in college in 1s 2s and 3s configuration. But the hostel like M has very good infrastructure. But hostel is quite expensive but their services are worth. Food quality is good in all hostels but the taste is not good in every hostel
Admission
Admission can be in 3 ways. 1 on the basis of 12th marks which should be around 90 percent 2 on the basis of jee ranking or percentile 3 lateral entry through diploma There is Punjab quota for local students
Faculty
Teachers are very qualified and supporting. They are always available for your help. They also helps in your internship and placement related issues. They teaches really really good. Their faculty to student ratio is also good . Each subject has its own teacher
